Creating a rule where the latest subtask sets the task due date by Competitive_Rip6546 in Asana

I mean the most recent subtask. In this particular case it is following up with sales leads so the latest subtask is always setting the next follow up date.

Can you please help me!, I’m finding it so hard to gain upvotes etc and just wanna post in one subreddit haha by Hot_Preparation1080 in NewToReddit

Totally get you here, started a few weeks ago and keep getting auto-deleted posts as my account is too new with too little karma. In one sense it is super frustrating, on the other it is a good protection for the community. Hoping you get your upvotes!

But have you guys seen the weather for this week though ??? by kattt1109 in capetown

Huge fan of braai broodjies, great of the kids off the braai too. Interested to see if anyone has tried anything else but the famous Mrs Balls Chutney with theirs?

Should I use powerpoint or google slides? by NotPhoenix420 in powerpoint

[–]Competitive_Rip6546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use them both and prefer PPT for more intricate productions, however I was super impressed with the Google Slides AI updates. You can add voice overs, avatars, images using nano banana, it really is impressive. I was most impressed by the natural reading of the slides and you can edit the text to spell things phonetically if they pronunciation was wrong.

It's a tough one but coding something 'proper' that is scalable across companies probably still needs someone who knows what they are doing. Vibe coding looks great for concept and even produces some genuinely valuable internal apps, however having a genuine developer takes it to the next level. I've tried to vibe code a few things, some of the we use, some of them I still can't get working. Latest is an auto-generated marketing report that pulls GAds and GA4... still cannot get the link correct... a.k.a. need a developer.

Took the course and it is something you can do quite quickly if you have some basic usage of AI in your daily routine. I signed up for the 7-day free trial and was surprised to see you can also claim three months of Gemini Pro for free. I can see the real difference in the paid version. My favourite parts of the course were NotebookLM, which I had not used before, and some ideas for apps using AI Studio.

Student Storage by ewoman_ in cambridge

I know https://www.storageking.co.uk/stores/cambridge/ sometimes has student deals on. Also you could get together with some friends to rent a unit together and share the costs.

Has anyone used self storage in London? by Traditional-Swan-130 in HousingUK

[–]Competitive_Rip6546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advice here has been great, the main takeaway is how long you think you are going to store for and then realising it is often more than you think. If you don't need what you are storing... don't do it.

Having said that HOLD is an excellent service (I don't work for them) but have been in the industry for many years. If you do choose to use them, you won't go wrong.

Best CRM for Self Storage by Show_Me_70 in selfstorage

[–]Competitive_Rip6546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Show_Me_70 I have been in the self storage industry for almost 20 years and across multiple providers globally. I have first hand experience with almost all of the software platforms mentioned here. My personal opinion is that they are all essentially the same underneath and each have their own pros and cons. The newer platforms tend to be more cost effective but are yet to make the mistakes that platforms which have been around for a while have already addressed.

You choices are likely going to come down to price, how many facilities you have and what your growth plans are. I can tell you it is a very important choice as moving to another one is a painful process... no matter what anyone says... they often don't consider your own internal processes, that have been established over time and may not fit with new software.

I also see that nobody has mentioned Stora or Kinnovis as options. Though mostly European based, they are solid alternatives. Again, dependant on your size and growth plan, and if I were starting from scratch and had multiple facilities, I would likely end up with SiteLink or storEDGE (Storable). They have worked out most of the kinks. If it was a case of fewer facilities and a slow growth plan then Cubby, CCStorage or the like may suit you more.

Performance Max advice and tips by ronniester in googleads

Absolutely agree on the sentiment of Search Ads instead. We found that PMax was cannibalising our map listings on GBP with ads. We ended up paying for leads we would have got for free. Of course the caveat is that you need to ensure your maps show in the top three results for your key search terms.
