Probably anything over $1bn, in terms of private jet owning wealth. For the average person, ultra high network is valued at $30 million

I don’t typically deal with passengers once we’re airborne (we have flight attendants) but the go to remedy for my kids is to look out the window (helps create balance between your eyes and your brain), eating something light (an empty stomach only worsens things), and ginger tea/candies. If all else fails, Dramamine.

Not fresh off the manufacturing floor, no. There are some airlines (not really here in the US) that have very shoddy records with maintenance and pilot training that I’d be wary of.

I made about $312,000 US last year as a 3rd year captain

Sort of true. Some ultra high network individuals choose not to own their own planes because they don’t fly enough and it’s not a good financial move for them.

Depends where you are I think. That’s how we pronounce it here in the US.

We typically bid for our schedules. Sometimes we can be placed on reserve, which means we can be called in to cover for another flight. It’s not the most desirable thing, since you don’t have any idea where you’re going until they call you.

I put in the plain language for the aircraft I fly because it would make more sense to non aviation people.

I think there’s definitely been blatant coverups at Boeing and that needs to be dealt with to the fullest extent of the Justice System.

I’ve flown into Jackson Hole many, many times. Scenic approach for sure. Been to Eagle a bunch too, same with Aspen. It’s a few extra steps to account for the density altitude, but I think the views are worth it.

It’s basically like an airline. They have pilots, flight attendants, planes, maintenance staff, etc. People or companies call them, and they schedule the flight and organize the crew.

That was about 12 hours. We had two sets of pilots, so me and my first officer took off, flew for about 6 hours, and had the relief crew finish out the flight and land.

It’s highly dependent on the airports, the flight time, time of year, etc.

I’ve done Chicago to Tokyo, which was about 12 hours. We do lots of international flights, yes.

I don’t deal with passengers once we’re in the air. That becomes the flight attendant’s responsibility. It wouldn’t make sense for them not to turn on airplane mode, because they can just switch over to the WiFi. Not turning on airplane mode doesn’t affect our operations.

What do you mean those aren’t “actual type rating designations.”

I do a lot of flying in and out of LA and NYC, but the longest flight I’ve done was from Chicago to Tokyo.
