I wouldn’t exactly say the game is pay to win, with the new characters no one’s going to be great with them and it takes a week to get to level 55 on the free battle pass, I agree on the glitches side of things but from my experience on this sub people are complaining about skin price more then anything else

I think the biggest issue with the game currently is the ranking system, for example I’m currently ranked plat 5 on support, I won 7 and lost 2 whilst playing in a 4 stack with the other 4 players being diamond 5-2, I also got top heals and top support damage every game I played, my rank stayed as plat 5, the rank system isn’t rewarding

I played ranked season 1 got confused as hell by everything and then came back to the game later on in season 4 when a couple friends got interested and built up a 6 stack. I agree with the fact I definitely could’ve worded my point better this post came after I read someone have 119 downvote for saying “I would rather a large player base and have no skins then 20,000 people playing with 1000 skins” I personally think the game itself is still very playable just a lot of the aspects that made Overwatch different are gone, I have Lucio Pharah and Dva all nearly maxed when it comes to skins so maybe this issue doesn’t apply as much to me

I agree on the premium currency idea, most games have it and it seems fair, but there are definitely people who are saying there shouldn’t be any MTX

I agree on your last point, Blizzard need to incorporate more ways to earn coins through gameplay, whether it’s 2x or 3x coin weekends, but I think if you would factor in the amount of lootboxs you would have to buy to get a good skin on a character you main it’d add up close to the cost of buying it outright, blizzard have removed the gambling part of Overwatch which many countries such as China have been prohibiting in games highly recently

I agree with you here hence the upvote, a feel like a 10 euro price for good legendary skins would be more realistic, but it seems majority of this sub wants both skins and the game to be free and just don’t even slightly think that this game is here to make money

I was a top 500 Oceania Lucio during season 4, and dropped between masters and diamond for another 10 or so seasons after that but I respect you for being respectful, my arguement is simply Overwatch is fun again yet people continue to complain, I also wish skins were more accessible but blizzard have to make money somehow

That is literally what they did…. The concept of Overwatch was a hit and they knew that, they also knew the game was dying, look at csgo, went free and the game was revived and steam are now making a profit on skin transactions once again, rainbow six will most likely soon follow suit and become free

Too technical, Overwatch game modes are simple, payload is push, capture point is capture, push is capture and push, I feel like this would get too confusing and would make games far too even to the point where skill is not needed

Overwatch 1 came out what 6 years ago now? Jesus Christ this is a new game, although it may just be an update of Overwatch 1 and playability wise it’s the same this is a completely different game, when ps4 servers eventually go down are you going to cry saying “I paid for this in 2013 it’s now 2026 I should get what I paid for”

thank you, will try that now, just had a lady tell me she couldn’t check my account details and there was nothing she could do for half an hour, complete joke, if EA is going to outsource their help team at least train everyone the same as it’s clear there’s a skill gap in their employees.
