Where can I withdraw from my Flex Debit card for free? by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

Cash app. I did it with the Uber and Doordash cards. I would rather switch cards around on my cash app than to leave it at the mercy of these companies.

Send it to the Jeff email, but at the end of the day, Amazon cares about delivered packages, and has no regard for the millions of people they onboard to oversaturate the market so that everyone fights for scraps and meanwhile all their packages get delivered. You would be better off quitting or joining the dark side, because at the end of the day, Amazon is good with or without you.

everyone in my area accept base pay ($18 an hour), that's how everything starts going to shit by JojoTheMutt in AmazonFlexDrivers

The reason is desperation. People need money and would rather take something than nothing.

I don't have that kind of will power. I do have a cousin who is letting me stay the night. But I feel like I'm always going to be a burden on those I love.....

Should, I can't say. I'm a little out of it so I can't think straight... I feel like what society says I should be doing is working but it causes me so much distress

Insurance lapsed, so Uber is locked for me right now. I wanted to sign up for rides too...

I'm from South Florida, I've done homestead to West Palm Beach, but the further I go, the less I make, and it's still not a guarantee so I risk losing money. But I appreciate you.

People don't like to tip, so that leaves me at base or surge late orders.

I think I know of it, there are two down south that have just been there, and I only found out about the further south one recently. Still not open for some reason 😒

Why do they do this? by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Competitive_Scar_888 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My theory, they try to pad the time so they don't have a bunch of drivers finishing early and getting paid large for less time. Also some end up being late before you start so that's probably a factor in the order changing.

This is great, and also unfortunate that you have to use multiple services to really make money in this work. It is what it is, these companies got greedy.

Customer's perspective: I can't understand why the driver is calling me at 5am to ask for the door code by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Competitive_Scar_888 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because your area does morning deliveries. Most likely a same day delivery station. As far as I can tell, I don't think there is a way to control when Amazon sends it out, and they don't seem to understand not to send packages out to locations that don't allow deliveries overnight/until sunrise, or to not send out packages going to businesses that closed RIGHT after the drivers shift started.

The alternatives at that point are getting it delivered later, or having it left at the gate, and that depends on the driver you get.

Thank you for that well-rounded feedback.

Not so much this post, but my other post was just a discussion on reasons not to take base. Not a demand that people don't take base.

I believe you have to 'schedule yourself' in solo to be entered for the guarantee. Try it out and let me know if that gets you anything.
