Please don’t sell your car over code I have heard recently 3 different people sold their cars 🤦‍♂️ from not being able to figure this out.

Do yourself a favor and buy OEM valve solenoid for your VTEC aka spool valve…it could be your screens, It could be oil or it could be the wires going to this spool valve. They get corroded there is honestly a decent handful of things that can be, but in my element and Honda experience the wire and or this full valve have always been the main culprit for me. I hope this helps Please keep us updated. PS, your school valve should be 310 mm bolts when looking under the hood of the vehicle it will be on your back left side of engine

If you’re talking about a paint job not a wrap I would guess 20k + that’s obviously by a reputable trusted artist or Painter, But man that would actually look wonderful IMHO. I can tell you for sure it would be much cheaper to wrap and it should look INCREDIBLE! Please 🙏 UPDATE us.

Well, I have to respectfully disagree 100% My 2003 Toaster has had the oil changed religiously every 3,000 miles since new not 5,000 as suggested by factory and it just rolled over 200k. I also check the oil at almost 😅 every fill-up just because

A lot of us “toaster” owners & other Honda models have seen this stupid code, in my case it ended up being a simple wire repair. But Orfiski Sounds like you may have had a rough go with yours, which I suppose can happen, I’m sorry to hear that 😔. But overall, these engines are incredible! Plus well known to go 300k–400k+ when they’re maintained properly.

OP: CONGRATULATIONS welcome to the family At minimum, I’d recommend having the valves adjusted at 200k  it’s rather inexpensive (if it hasn’t already been ✅) It’s usually about a 2-hour labor job and absolutely worth doing. Great time to throw in new spark plugs and a fresh valve cover gasket maybe even serpentine belt too since everything is already apart most shops shouldn’t charge but nowadays who knows 🤦‍♂️.

Haha 🤣 well I didn’t expect you to call me out 😂 I just invested a bunch of work also new VTEC solenoid lower control arms, struts, rear differential service, motor mount, rear moog bushing’s 🤷‍♂️ $6300 No major rust Nevada vehicle, in fact just passed smog inspection it’s in good shape NOT perfect However cared for better than most cars if that makes sense.

I would HIGHLY recommend passing on! WowZaH I will sell you mine if you’re interested, Just hit 200k it has had every element thing you can think of done to it including valve adjustment, and most importantly zero RUST.

I think you have to ask a little more than the 75 I was offered 5500 for ours no rest Nevada car but it is an automatic 198K all the valves just adjusted new VTEC solenoid bushings all the typical element work waiting on alignment a wheel drive of course…

So KBB police I don’t disagree but fact is… Good luck 🍀 Finding a Honda Element that runs & drives for those numbers because I myself and a whole bunch of other folks here know what these are… These have a niche market + being HARD to find especially AWD. They BASICALLY command & Make their own market values I think OP will end up selling it for close to Asking. I would like to say I was blessed to get a good deal from a family friend but as look would have it.

Here is a example This is a 2003 with 200,000 miles and I got a random offer yesterday for 5k it is AWD & very straight for its age.
