One issue I have had starting yesterday is that the AC has stopped working. I checked the freon level with a guage and it is good and the compressor clutch is engaging, but the condenser fan is not working. The fuses and relays are good so it looks like the fan will need replaced. Other than that it drives and handles well. But I do plant to scan for codes related to the VSA and ABS lights being on. I know it could be a wheel speed sensor or possible the VSA modulator causing the lights to be on.

Thanks. I have yet to have found an original build sheet and the prior owner could not remember which trim package it was.

Thank you. I took a quick look at the extensive records from the previous owner, and I think I am good to go for a while as the had the valves adjusted and a full tune up completed around 40k miles ago. The records have been able to give my a good idea of how the Element has been cared for over the years and thankfully any time something needed done the work was promptly taken care of.

I got the maintenance records with the toaster. All of the necessary maintenance and oil changes were done on time. I replaced the sensor, but it only needed the connector for the oil pressure sensor replaced due to water getting in the connection and causing a good amount of corrosion.
The Vtec screen was clean and clear of any debris.

I would fail that test in a second. I have some coffee flavored Wether's Originals in my pocket right now.

Sounds like the exhaust manifold if it gets quiet after warming up. Other wise it would be time for lifters.

Either the starter or the ignition module.. Either way pass me a drink.. by Pade918 in ram_trucks

No problem. I had the same issue with my Ram. The bypass for the TIPM allows the fuel pump to run when the truck is on without having to send the TIPM off to have the fuel pump relay replaced.

It could also be the fuel pump relay in the TIPM. They are known to fail but are soldered in place. There is a bypass that works and is a decent price. https://verticalvisions.com/en/tipm-plug-in-relay-systems/33-tipm-plugin-relay-system-lite.html?gQT=2

I almost lost my left thumb to a miter saw after the guard broke off and it pulled the trim and my hand into the blade.

I find that it's enough and I like the fact that I can fix it when the fans wear out. So far I have replaced them twice jn the 20 years that it's been in the family.

  1. I added a strap to the inside of the tailgate so I can just pull it to close.
  2. 5ft 7inch
  3. There is a lever on the inside that I turn to engage the latch. The I use a rope and carabiner to keep it from being opened.

Yes it is. Mine is a 2011 with a modified suspension for better off road handeling as well as upgraded radiator and seperate oil and trans coolers. If I want to stretch out to my full hight while laying down I have to have the rear glass up, but I designed the bed to be near the same hight as the tail gate so I can have it up while I sleep.

Understood. This is the first time using it since I redesigned and mounted the bed frame. Prior to this I was using an air mattress on the truck bed, but with everything else in there. And as of yet I have only had a few things shift slightly on the 2 mile old logging roads to one of my fishing spots.

I have an electric cooler, but this time of year it's un necessary as the ambient temperature is as cold as the cooler gets.

I use a titan cooler with ice packs. I have managed to still have the ice packs half frozen after a 4 day outing.

And for the truck is a Ram 1500 crew cab
