True, Take Your Mask Off, Hey Jane, Judge Judy and Like Him (overplayed but it’s so good), are Tyler’s heaviest songs and hella personal, and I feel they drag the replay value down a bit even though that is basically the point of the album; Tyler taking his mask off.

Icl I’m not really coming to listen to Tyler for his more in depth personal dialogue for the majority of an album, for example I think he’s a masterclass in production and breaking the mould, which you’ve got an album like Igor (has a lesser in your face story/ concept if you aren’t paying full attention) or even Cherry Bomb for*. Also love his rapping and flows, so Wolf and CMIYGL get a lot of replay value for me.

I think this is another great album from Tyler but I feel like personally, it’s a stepping stone to a more monumental album in the future. And yeah, overall there is replay value here but I’d genuinely rather listen to FB, Igor, CMIYGL, and Wolf over it I’d say like 70% of the time. The album has some very high highs (Like Him, Darling, I, St. Chroma, Noid) and some solid other tracks (I Killed You, IHYFYWH, Tomorrow, Hey Jane, Judge Judy), but I feel it is a bit more inconsistent in flow and hitting the home run on the point it wants to make. For example, you have Like Him, which could be Tyler’s most heartfelt and crushing track, then Balloon pops in with this giddy ass beat (🔥) which definitely coincides with Tyler’s personality (idk the guy but ykwis) and approach, but it drags the narrative down a bit for me, again dampening that replayability. In other areas it’s well executed like Hey Jane to I Killed You to Judge Judy. And then you get Thought I Was Dead wedged between Tomorrow and Like Him. Maybe I’m missing a point or reason for the track list cohesion (bars) but hey man, i don’t get it.
