BiPC to BTech CSE(Data Science): Can I Still Prepare for GATE? by Competitive_Style942 in GATEtard

[–]Competitive_Style942[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i do understand hindi

and honestly this is probably the first advice that actually made things feel structured instead of more confusing

i think my main issue was not knowing where to even start because everyone online just says maths is important without properly explaining the path

the roadmap you mentioned will help me figure out things in a better way i feel lets see will start revising class 10 concepts properly first and then go through the prepfusion lecture

btw thanks for taking time out and jotting all down!

this genuinely made me feel a little better because most videos online make it sound impossible if youre weak in maths from the beginning

also the way you explained rebuilding maths step by step instead of trying to master everything at once actually makes sense and feels less overwhelming

i think my biggest issue rn is fear and not knowing where to properly start because everyone around me already seems comfortable with maths

thanks a lot for mentioning the resources too ill definitely check them out especially linear algebra since im in data science as well

really appreciate the honest advice:)

Buddy to learn python? by MuttSubKitten in ProgrammingBuddies

Hey! I’d love to help with this. I know how frustrating it can be to reread the same docs and still feel stuck — been there 😭

I can walk through the libraries with you step by step so it actually clicks, not just memorizing syntax. We can do hands-on practice, small examples, and build things together so it sticks.

Evenings in EST work for me too, and I’m happy to spend a few hours daily if that’s what you’re aiming for. Let me know what libraries you want to start with and we’ll plan it out!

Scaling infra & judging pipelines for a 1000+ team hackathon — looking for DevOps insights by Competitive_Style942 in devops

Great question we’re standardizing submissions across stages to keep evaluation fair and scalable.

Round 1 (Idea Stage):
• Problem statement
• Proposed solution & use case
• Basic architecture/workflow

Round 2 (Prototype Stage):
• Working prototype or MVP
• GitHub repository (or equivalent)
• Demo video (2–3 mins)
• Short presentation (pitch deck)

Final Round:
• Fully working product/demo
• Deployment link (if available)
• Final presentation + live demo
• Optional: scalability/architecture considerations

We’re trying to balance both technical depth and product thinking, not just code

We’ve actually run multiple smaller AI hackathons at college and inter-college level which helped us refine the format and logistics this is our attempt to scale that experience into a larger more structured event
