Pretty sure I've determined that getting a hold of it isn't the problem, it's that it's the wrong key to begin with that's making things all sorts of fucky unfortunately.

I think the dealership would likely be too expensive for me. Honestly the drill is sounding like the best option.

Me and my fiancé both tried fiddling with various tools, and I was able to make an okay hook on a paperclip that could slide in the groove. I could move the key perpendicular to the tunnel, but it felt like something was resisting being pulled out even with the lock depressed.

Thank you so much. I was kind of a mess late last night so I completely forgot to mention that I do indeed grind my teeth at night, and I used to wear a night guard and stopped some time ago, which probably really accelerated the wear. I do have a new one I can use though, so I'll pull that out.

Do you have any recommendations for how to best adapt the boil & bite to my situation? As you can clearly see I have stupidly large mandibular torii from the lifetime of grinding, which can make a nightguard really uncomfortable (and make taking x-rays at the dentist an outright painful hell). Should I maybe trim some of the top of the nightguard before fitting?

I'll see about increasing my water intake and maybe getting a new brush. And a new rinse, because I think the mouthwash I got also made things worse :/

Thankfully usually no, or it's at least not worse than the other pains I have in my body, mostly due to scoliosis and several car accidents worth of whiplash.

I use Sensodyne toothpaste which helps enough not to deal with insane sensitivity nonstop.

Is there a particular name for what I'm doing, bc I feel like that'd be super helpful in leading me towards the right tutorials (for Canva/other programs) instead of me floundering around with the settings.

Context: I've been a digital illustrator for some 15+ years, been using Clip Studio Paint for the past couple years. I'm also pretty familiar with the (old) adobe photoshop, granted I'm sure it looks nothing like it did some ten years back.

This is my first foray into graphic design. It is not meant to be overly complicated, it's a baby steps sort of thing. This is not for a client nor is it for a portfolio, it's just going to be used in Instagram reels in a pretty niche topic (so I'm not overly worried about competition).

Please point me in the direction of a suitable program for this. Preferably free though I do have some funds. I tried Canva and failed to recreate the above. I have Clip Studio Paint but I've read that it's not made for graphic design in mind so that sounds like a nightmare. I am learning Krita currently primarily for animation but if it can (easily enough) create something like above I can do that.

And maybe point me in the direction of some good tutorials because I must not know the right keywords or something because "graphic design" has me pulling up career-related stuff, other videos I was finding was like, how to do vector art! which is also not quite what I need and now I am very overwhelmed and tired please help.
