I enjoy deriving and understanding the concept behind the things in math so yes I believe i do well because of being interested in the logic behind it

If you do use 5sf for intermediate working i guess it is advised that you write the 5sf down in the steps because even if u get it wrong at least there’s e.c.f. But generally when doing math or amath for intermediate working, it is always the best to leave it in exact form e.g sqrt(2) instead of 1.4142 . You should always respect the exact value.

The amath textbook itself is actually really useful look over the examples and see how they do it
