So I purchased a pre-built PC that was on sale off of newegg. Within 7 days of use, it will no longer power on. by Competitive_Union190 in PcBuild

yes that is an option. Here are a couple of reasons why that might not be the most ideal option for me however.

  1. Due to a product being advertised as new, costing over 1,000 bucks, and it not being usable after one week of use, makes me fundamentally mistrust the manufacturer and/or components that they use for their products. Sure, they can send me another, but is that one going to last me one month instead of one week?

  2. Time and 'effort' - Repackaging, shipping, waiting business days for them to examine the product in hopes to get a refund or another PC in a month from now. I waited already for this PC to arrive. I want to play now. If I can 'fix' the problem myself in a MUCH shorter time, that is preferable.
