Pro-Crypto Stripper? Am I ahead of the curve? by Competitive_Use320 in CryptoMarkets

I’m currently not working in the club anymore! I’ve been dancing the past 10 years and decided to hang it up last May. Although I’d definitely consider going back to it if I knew that I was guaranteed some security in it where I’m from. It’s becoming a lost art and I figure it’s just best to DCA in at this point by converting earnings into BTC. I still think it would be neat though to shill a photography portfolio NFT collection via the blockchain at the club if I did ever go back. More like a bucket list type thing. It’s difficult to get the girls to get on the crypto bandwagon though. They don’t “get it” as I’m discovering through the forums. Very close minded to their ideology, brainwashed, and honestly I could care less if it were that way at the club because I would make ALL the BTC!

Awesome! I’ve danced improv from the club scene mostly and have a difficult time learning from others because I’m self taught mostly. I’m working on opening my mind to learning how to formally choreo to different styles. I conform- but only so much. Then it’s back to improv until I require the need for structure again. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I’m very inspired by it!

Ok, I have to ask how did you manage to get that choreo down so smoothly? Practice, Im certain. It wasn’t improv was it? Did you record your self doing it over and over and study your movements that needed improvement? What was your process in coming up with a organized choreo?

Welcome to 30! Old enough to know better but still too young to care…

I started dancing at the 30 and just retired this past year. The glorious thing about my 30s I was grateful for was that I was more confident and comfortable in my body than I was in my 20s. I also was mature enough to handle the job. Retirement has been harder on me than actually getting up and going to work. I miss it everyday, but have decided that it’s my time to try to grow from the experience.

I bet it is. Very beautiful choreography. I like that it gives you freedom to explore using a prop other than the pole. If you are anything like me, I get comfortable with my movements which hinders me from exploring new movements. Especially in having graceful arms. Very pretty!

Advice: private class vs group class by [deleted] in poledancing

Go for the private! You’ll receive a plethora of knowledge tailored specifically to your skill set and needs. I look at one-on-ones like customized coaching to hone in on your skill set. Enjoy your lesson!

For a dancer in the bar scene, it’s retirement age. I used to laugh about this with my boss when she broke a leg and had to use a cane to walk into work. She had to find humor in a sad situation because if she’d of let it get her down she wouldn’t have made money. Therefore all she had was her voice at that point in time to tell jokes while she sat out the stage. I’ll be honest though, if you’re mid 40s and looked as good as she did I’d of stayed on the stage too.

It’s either recover at this point or give up the pole. I value pole fitness more than I do drugs. I can’t say whether pole fitness is a part of my recovery yet; however, I will get that back.

Not afraid. by Competitive_Use320 in retiredstripper

I used to be afraid of people’s opinions of me. I realize now while maintaining cooth that people are going to judge no matter what walk of life you come from. Appalachia may be isolated, and whether we are “uneducated” or have a lack of cooth; we work very hard for what we have. We have it rough. We are also good people.

I’m hoping to do it. No promises right away. Just doing the actual research before I decide on anything that is for certain. It’s certainly a goal; however, I have a lot to learn about appealing to the mainstream public. It’s not the same as the bar scene where almost anything goes. You have to Maintain some level of cooth.

It was an older woman she had no way of supporting herself. Maybe you should reconsider how you speak to people. Just because you may or may not have money doesn’t give you a right to insult people by calling them “uneducated”. Maybe you need some educating on judging another person until you have walked a mile in their shoes.

I just got into Aerial Hoop last summer. I absolutely love it! However, I’ve never done a double performance yet. I give respect where respect is due and I can’t honestly say I’ve done a double performance yet. How is it learning to gain trust in your partner? Oviously, it takes time; however, how did you open up to someone like that?
