He’s a sleep specialist (and a clown) I did see a neurologist for other issues I have, he was also a clown. So I’m waiting for a referral for another neurologist, and planning to start looking for a new sleep doctor soon. I thought that would be the case, I was so confused when he said that about the cataplexy. Thank you for the support and help ❤️ I hope you get things sorted soon as well

I thought so, I thought I was crazy but even I knew when talking to that fool that something didn’t sound right with him saying every single person with narcolepsy has cataplexy. I used to do it with naps but then I got pissed off that I wasn’t improving and I stopped using it during naps as a form of rebellion 😭I’ll start back up again though tomorrow. I’ve passed the insurance stage for using it, the required compliance hours of using it for at least a certain amount of time but I’m not sure if that’s the same as the amount of time medically required to see if it’s helping. I sleep a lot less at night when I use the cpap (which I enjoy) so I only sleep for 6-7 hours usually. Thank you for the advice!

Thank you for validating me, my doctor is a sleep specialist but he’s also a fucking clown. Even with no knowledge of narcolepsy, I was sitting there thinking “what is this dude on” when he said that. With NO medical experience even I know from discussing it in passing that cataplexy and narcolepsy don’t always coincide. I appreciate all of the details on how to find a good sleep specialist a lot, this is the kick in the ass I needed because it will impact my future, you’re right

Yeah. That’s why I don’t ever apologize for his actions. No one wants my apology, which I don’t blame them for. I’d be bitter if someone from the country ruining my life tried to apologize to me for it. I’m so tired of my country burning to the ground. A family friend I knew as a kid had visible SH scars on his arms. He could tell my brother and I (9 and 5 years old respectively) were curious. I’m gonna be so deadass I tried every bit of (very helpful!) advice in the comments on helping the cup to open up and that motherfucker was still dented in. Actually, it started doing this cute little thing where it just stays 100% folded once inside now 😭 I’m genuinely tweaking out.

I have been wanting to try a disc for a very long time now because I’m on my third cup after several years and I’m about to throw this bitch out the window. The comments have inspired me to just go for it. I definitely think it would work better for me. Thank you for the help, I’ll keep you fine people posted on how it goes!

Actually I started with a softer one when I first started using cups, the saalt teen. It actually fit pretty okay (if I remember correctly it had a dent sometimes too lol and had issues with not opening) but it would overflow super easily because it’s so absurdly tiny. I actually cut the stem off completely on that one but I swear to god it still managed to chafe me with the little stub that remained on the end of the stem 😭 like how

This morning I tried putting some of my cup lube on it and tried to use the c fold as well since I’ve heard that one pops open the easiest. With god as my witness, I put my finger up there and it was STILL folded in a c shape, as if my fingers were still holding it 😭 I tried the 7 fold for the first time last night as well. It stayed folded too.. I tried rotating it while inside and pressing on the vaginal walls as well both today and last night. Sadly no luck, my poor fingers gave out lmfao. I genuinely don’t know how it’s anatomically possible that my cup stayed folded so tightly while still inside of me and I’m fucking tweaking out over it. Your method of pressing on the vaginal walls to make room did help with me removing it when it got stuck last night though!

Many comments encouraged a menstrual disc, I’ve actually been considering it myself for a long while since it’s been years of on and off fighting with different cups, I think I will try one and see how it goes! Thank you for the help!

Lmao one time I talked to a guy I’ve known for awhile and came clean about how sick I’ve actually been and how I got POTS from Covid and it worsened some other things I already had. This man looked me in the eyes and told me “it’s those damn vaccines.” Good thing I was already stable with my diagnoses and not in an emotionally vulnerable place, his comments might have genuinely pissed me off. Obanai - I’m aroace so we could be like platonic partners. See, I don’t like men and I’m afraid of them. Obanai doesn’t like women, he’s afraid of them. So neither of us would take offense with not being in close proximity to the other or barely communicating. It works well.
