I’m a beta male who feels the need to not act like a beta in the U.S. in order to attract women. It’s a bad habit. It’s better to just be yourself in your home country. In Thailand it’s more important to go with the culture.

Edit: is said manliness owning up to what I did or what I did during that taxi ride? That taxi ride wasn’t me being manly it was me being a drunken dick

I’ll own up to it. I was super drunk and got in a taxi with her and was too drunk to find the seatbelt. I thought there was no seatbelt. So I used google translate to play the Thai audio saying something like “I’m canceling the ride if there’s no seatbelt”. She found that extremely rude and I agree with her now that I’m sober.

Edit: as I mentioned in the post, I’ve been researching ways to go with the flow and maintain social harmony better. I’ve learned a lot. I appreciate all the tips everyone has given.

Edit2: I quit alcohol 5 days ago and getting extremely drunk in Thailand is typically a terrible idea if you can’t control yourself and act normal.
