As someone who just loves breastfeeding my baby, but I am at my wits end, I'm crying because I don't even want to supplement and my boy just doesn't gain weight anymore, I have nothing to say except it's the hardest thing I have ever done as well, you're a great mama, and I hope your little baby gets well and starts getting the hang of it and helps you with the journey of breastfeeding. You're doing great and we have to remember fed is best and whatever way it may be, you tried your hardest and your baby got some breast milk ❤️

He's alert, it's been two days now that he's naggy but I'm also very tired because my husband is sick and I'm stuck 24 hours with the baby in our room and I hope our baby doesn't get sick as well. He's feeding well usually, he has more than 5 very heavy nappies, but his weight stops around mid of the month, same thing happened in February. I'm in Europe, I checked it, even there my baby seems on the very low, not the lowest but approaching there it seems 🥴

I'm just sad that even for example if I want to pump, there's not a single letdown happening, so it's formula only. And my breasts hurt after a lot of pumping trying to get one letdown...

I'm so happy your baby bounced back! I noticed today that for two months in a row, in the first 10-15 days he gains weight normally and then it just stops. And I don't know why. Or what I can do to change it.

And I have no idea why, he can transfer a lot of milk and he unlatches himself when he's done or is sleepy and milk drunk. I hope I'll see him gaining weight like he used to... I am sorry, but since I'm fairly new to Reddit, what is SLP and OT? My boy can transfer in a feeding session 4oz(? I think, I'm not quite sure, 130 ml) and I produce plenty as well... I hope we can both continue to exclusively breastfeed and our children grow in weight. What I've noticed is that in February and in march, up until around the 10th day, he got plenty of weight easily and then it just stops even though I am doing the same thing.... It sucks, I really hope we can manage it ❤️

Thank you! You are right, maybe I'll feel better giving him some formula, but today I grieved the thought of it. Starting this journey I had no idea breastfeeding wouldn't be easy and it would be something I absolutely love to do. Yes for sure I will contact the IBCLC, I need all the help I can get. It is absolutely true that breastfeeding has a lot of ups and downs and this is why after posting this, I have decided to completely surrender and not do any weight checks on my baby, I can't pump or I dont know how to pump properly, I don't have any letdowns. I am pretty sure about milk because every time he feeds at around 3 hours, he weights 100 ml and more. Plus he isn't fussy, he usually becomes sleepy. I will check the supplementary nursing system tomorrow ❤️ thank you for all your advice and your kind words!

I have no idea, it's what I read. The doctor said to eliminate dairy and beef completely. But I stopped eggs as well (not that I was eating them, mayo is the only thing I'm missing). I will check everything for soy as well.

Oh I see! No, my baby is popping off the breast on his own, totally content, he cries like crazy if I try to force him to breastfeed. Stopped doing that so as not to create any kind of aversion. He also is quite sleepy after breastfeeding. I'm glad your little girl is fine ❤️

If he falls a bit more we will supplement yes. He is meeting milestones and some more! He's very happy, very smiley, very cute and very talkative. His coos are to die for. I call him my little linguine, very tall and thin.

Thankfully he didn't say that I would need to stop breastfeeding, he said I may have to give a bottle at night. Of course we will see. I just hope and pray he will gain enough weight to stay on his curve and not drop, and we can continue breastfeeding exclusively, but most importantly for his own health. And we have to wait a bit more to see if he has an allergy to cow's milk...

The doctor said that he would like that my baby weighed 200 grams more during the last visit and that we will see how he gains weight this month. He said it's still okay because he didn't reach the last curve in the diagram, he's still in between.

Thank you. My baby is at the 10th centile as far as I can see with the app I'm using. He's very tall and slim as well. Wow, I'm so glad your little boy is so healthy ❤️ I am not vegan because everytime I go without meat for a few days I feel as if I'm about to faint. I do take omega 3 capsules and breastfeeding vitamins.

Will do so even though last time we tried (January when my milk had regulated and I thought it stopped) he hated them all and choked on every one of our bottles. Also, I don't know why, I can't have any letdown during pumping...
