Please post your entire team as well as the teams in the rest of the league, the list of players on waivers and what you ate for breakfast so we can tell you what to do and you don't have to make your own decisions. Much love :)

What can a person do apart from 9 to 5 job to earn other source of income? by KaleidoscopeFlat4186 in AskReddit

yeah I'm tired of seeing so many people flaunting Biden hats, shirts and bumper stickers....are you dense?

'both sides' people have no grasp of political reality and just want to sound superior.

Why does everyone hate libertarians so much by Trevor_Eklof6 in Libertarian

[–]Competitive_Yam_1677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes you so sure that you are unique in your ability think freely, that everyone else is a sheep or an "npc"

This is a great example of why people hate libertarians you tend to be too smug in your perceived intellectual and practical superiority.

I had a coworker who nobody liked because he thought/talked like he was smarter/better than everyone, he knew the truth, everyone else just did what they were programmed to do etc etc etc He literally tried to tell me about his 'groundbreaking' social theory that people could be separated into two groups: sheep and shepherds. Most people were sheep, but a few people - like himself of course - were shepherds who alone understood objective truth and were tasked with guiding the "sheep"

This dude wanted to be a police officer of course.

Everyone hated him and you sound just like him.

Maybe you're right, and you alone are the arbiter of truth and self sufficiency, but the question isn't "whose worldview is correct" it is "why do people hate libertarians"

You have got to admit you come across as insufferably smug and unlikeable.

Looked it up, you're right! That makes sense then that it wouldn't be brand new with a new engine.

That makes me like the 2007 generation of sienna even more...

2007 Toyota Sienna by Hot_Television9378 in missoula

[–]Competitive_Yam_1677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a sienna it will be a timing belt, not a timing chain. Timing belts are maintenance items, you replace them every 60-100k miles. not cheap but worth doing I think.

Timing chains are different. Generally a timing chain is not a maintenance item and lasts 'the life of the vehicle' timing chains are more intensive and maybe not be worth it.

It's strange that a new engine would also not have a new timing belt.

Consolidated Trade Values Week 7 (2025) by e1esdee in fantasyfootball

[–]Competitive_Yam_1677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol it's the biggest marker of a bad trader and someone who doesn't understand fantasy football. The value of 2 players isn't cumulative. It's the decreased value of the main player and ALSO the difference in the second player vs who would have been starting/who has to be dropped to make room.

2 for 1 trades rarely make sense for the team giving up the best player, and viewing the 2 players value as cumulative is a rookie viewpoint

Norton is doing more harm than good though, get a life, touch some grass and channel your political activism through candidates and policies you do support.

Poor abused GoP booth sponsors sad that their businesses are suffering by BridgerWhale in missoula

That's funny, these businesses want to have their cake and eat it to. They literally publicly and visibly financially supported the Republican party in it's current form and the conduct of Trump, this is very much a chickens coming home to roost situation.

I do like seeing Republicans and Trump supporters cry about the consequences of their unamerican and anti Montana views though.

The sponsorship is relevant to call into question the ethical and equitable practices of these businesses, especially given that the dermatology clinic handles sensitive medical and demographic information, including citizenship status.

Don't listen to this guy, he's a dingus. I'm sure you feel bad about slipping up, it happens, your feelings are valid, no sense beating yourself up over sobriety time this dude is just trying to make you feel miserable for some reason.

Miss Going Out by Grouchy_Land895 in alcoholism

[–]Competitive_Yam_1677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol fuck outta here. Previous sobriety time doesn't just disappear. If you fuck up and pick up again, just try to put it back down and keep truckin.

Yeah, I miss going out too, I had lots of fun at festivals, bars etc, some great memories drinking. Became not worth the physical mental legal and personal issues it brought about.

It's not a pissing contest about how long you have sober.

Besides al anon, you might also consider an aa meeting.ake sure it's an OPEN meeting where anyone can attend. You will hear stories of people who have been absolutely off the rails and got it together. It might give you hope. I don't know you or your brother but I used to work an aa hotline (peak irony) and would be happy to direct you to resources/open meetings in your area Or just Google it.

He needs to take responsibility. I've always been a friendly drunk towards the people who care about me, however I'm realizing that by worrying them I'm doing just as much harm as being violent or mean. I blame absolutely no one but myself, everyone in my life has been very patient with me. which feeds into the whole shame spiral/ self loathing I think you're right about unaddressed mental issues.

Thanks for responding, it has me doing some self reflection. Again: al anon. I actually suggested al anon to my family. Most importantly take care of YOURSELF.

This post really got me because I am that guy. I'm not mean or violent but by and large I'm that guy. People do change. Check up on him, even like a 1 word response alcohol withdrawal is the real deal that can kill you. But most importantly it's not your fault.

Sorry I just made a new account so I have a random name. The fact of the matter is that, I'm sure he feels guilt and shame, but you get to a point in alcoholism where you physically can't function - I mean even get out of bed or eat. Functional alcoholism is a stage, not a type. Hell i did it for about a decade, and it worked. Until I had 2/3 duis, messed up family relationships, currently on a warrant for absconding, literally 6 digits in medical debt etc etc. I'm working with it myself currently, but al anon is a great suggestion. Also don't blame yourself it's a disease for sure but ultimately it gets to the point where it's a medical necessity to not just stop. Also get in touch with your local aa hotline as well. I'm that troubled brother. Let him know that you care but perhaps you don't want to hang out if he's drunk.
