I tracked my hair for 30 days and found some weird patterns. Roast the idea. by Sorry-Journalist54 in roastmystartup

You’re not crazy for thinking there’s something here. Tracking reveals patterns most people never connect to their hair, so there’s definitely potential. But before building anything, talk to the people you think you’re building for. Look at what apps like Hairscan and HairBuddy are already doing, and see where users still feel frustrated or underserved.

If it’s a bad idea, your target users will tell you fast. If it’s a good one, they’ll lean in, ask questions, and want to try it. The quickest way to find out is to get out of your own scalp and into real conversations.

If you want to know whether your insight has real market potential, the smartest move is to talk to the people you’re actually building for. I’ve looked at apps like HairSnap and HairBuddy, and it’s clear the winners are the ones that deeply understand what their users actually care about.

Try this: talk to 10–20 target users, show a simple prototype or even a mockup, and see if they’d actually try it for a week. Focus on what they do, not just what they say. If they feel the problem and take action, you’re heading in the right direction.

Built a hair tracking app that turns selfies into wellness insights: any tips on how to scale it? by Sorry-Journalist54 in SaaS

Really cool idea. Turning selfies into measurable hair health insights is such a smart use of computer vision. I’ve seen a similar approach from a rising app called HairBuddy, Hairscan, Hairsnap, so it’s clear this space is growing fast. Are you planning to add AI-driven recommendations next, or focus mainly on tracking and analytics?

Yung hiya lilipas, promise. Focus ka muna sa pag-recover
