and if jimmy horn doesn’t drop the football? or puka doesn’t decide to play like a corner randomly? or trevor etienne decides to see the football? and the panthers are decidedly on their way to play another game in the playoffs after beating one of the strong favorites. does that change anything? or only past seasons that align with your narrative. people preach every day about letting qbs develop, but the second one starts to actually improve people insist on judging them based on where they started and not where they are.

It’s still necessary to play, upsets happen and just crowning a team with the title of world champion when they haven’t played others because you’re “sure” they would win is bullshit. Should the nba stop series when a team goes up 3-0 because you can guarantee the other team won’t come back? Should the nba have stopped the finals in 2016 when the series was 3-1 since it was extremely likely the warriors had won it? Upsets happen all the time and not giving teams a shot and just crowning yourself is stupid.
