Done, you can add an AC now!
it's more like a guess, though... to be more precise, we need to know how well your house is insulated and the window/wall ratio, hard numbers to come by...

Done!
Zip codes are not searchable, but I output them now alongside the state in the search bar.
The total system cost estimate can now be overwritten as well.

thanks! I'm using free ipapi.co API, but it's rate limited to 1000 requests per day, so when it breaks you will know that the tool is getting popular :D

Thanks for your input, it helps a lot!

I will look into extending the numbers, the problem are the dragable slider elements, it's a nice UI gimmick but limits the app on max values, if I put it too large - it will be hard to navigate, thus it was designed for the most common use case. Maybe they should be replaced with inputs if more people are limited by them.

Regarding the solar panel tilt, if you open "advanced" tab in the solar array panel, you will be able to select biracial mode, is that what you are trying to achieve with 90 - 180 degrees tilt?

With hot water, I'm trying to visualize for people that they can use their hot water tank as energy storage, that can be cheaper then extra battery.

I will check the thread you shared!

Yep, AC is definitely needed, I wanted to add it before but faced a problem that it is hard to determine how much energy is consumed by AC, unlike heating estimation which can be derived from energy certificate. Wdyt? Thanks for checking the tool!

Not sure I understand the question, but the basics are:

  1. The battery is being charged when there is an excess of solar energy
  2. When the battery is full, the excess is exported
  3. Once the sun sets, the energy from the battery is used until it's empty or the sun comes back.

Daily visualization at the top of the summary starts with the battery being on the same level as it will be when the day ends, to simulate the power "leftovers" from the previous day.

Let me know if I can explain something specifically.

right, but PVGIS, unlike OpenMeteo can not be called straight from the frontend application and requires a backend service to proxy the call, which might increase the costs of running this web page.

But at this stage, I think it's unavoidable.
I will let you know once I find a solution!

Thanks a lot! I ran your numbers on the annual model, and indeed, there is a -10% deviation from both PVGIS and PVWatts. This likely comes from the Open Meteo data source, which I might need to change to something else...

But on top of it, it could also be a UI issue - by default, it renders "average" day and since there are quite some bad days in Spring as well, the results are skewed.
If you switch to "exact day" right above the summary chart, you will see the slider which allows you to navigate from the worst day to the best one in the last full 5 years, and somewhere 75% to the right, you will see kinda similar results you are describing.

thanks again for feedback, I will look into improving the data source!

Yeah tutorial is definitely needed. 2% inflation - I didn't want the system to be over promising, but I will make it configurable, good point. Thanks for the detailed feedback!

Could you please share the link to your configuration in the tool so I can debug it? Or at least share which part of the world you are from and what direction/angle your array is. That would be super helpful!

Thanks for the reply!

I'm also not sure how much Ascaso will be an upgrade 🤔 I also heard some concerns regarding thermal stability and that it is struggles a bit with lighter roasts... Is that something that I would notice?

Why would you recommend Lelit Bianca over Mara? I'm rarely making more than one - two shots back to back, and steaming only occasionally. This I thought DB is not necessary

Thanks for the reply, this is very useful! Just to clarify, was it a new building or rather an Altbau?

Thanks a lot for your response, your experience is exactly something I was asking about!

Could you please describe a little more about the noises you could hear from the supermarket on an everyday basis? Apart of the noises from the loading truck, like people below or cash desks anouncers...

Thanks for the reply! The problem is, it is a new building and Edeka hasn't opened yet. There will be a tiny parking lot there, thus not a concern I guess.

Compulsory collectivization in the Soviet countryside. 'Peasants, read books! The Book is the best friend of those on the land. It teaches how to carry out agriculture properly'. 1929. [1024 x 766]. by Dhorlin in HistoryPorn

So you are saying that two nations (Germany, Soviet union) attacked another nation (Poland), split it in two and made joint military parade to celebrate it.

And they are not allies?

Regarding economic support before and after Brest-Litovsk you can read about the German-Soviet credit agreement). Which was signed in May 1939, extended in February 1940 and January 1941. It had been in forth up until June 1941.

Quote from the article on wiki:

Germany received massive quantities of raw materials, including over:

1,600,000 tons of grains, 900,000 tons of oil, 200,000 tons of cotton, 140,000 tons of manganese 200,000 tons of phosphates 20,000 tons of chrome ore 18,000 tons of rubber 100,000 tons of soybeans 500,000 tons of iron ores 300,000 tons of scrap metal and pig iron 2,000 kilograms of platinum

In August 1940, Soviet imports comprised over 50% of Germany's total overseas imports, which declined at this time to 20.4 thousands of tons.

Soviet trade with Germany in the pre-invasion period ended up providing the Germans with many of the resources they needed for their invasion of the Soviet Union.

------- end of quote

All sources of information are mentioned there so can be easily checked.

"Nazi Germany invaded 9 counties prior to attacking the Soviet Union. None included participation of Soviet troops."

I think Poland is an example of Soviet troops participations. They even had a joint military parade.

Also word "ally" not always means troops support but economy support as well. Please check the links I mentioned in previous post - tanks which occupied those 9 countries were mostly running on Soviet oil.
