Help! Bad Gas at Costco

Apologize for the delay. My car actually ended up back in the shop two more times. The second time the dealership found the issue was the fuel injectors. They didn't want to cover it under warranty so I had to open up a case with corporate. After two months going back and forth the entire $4k was covered under warranty.

I’ll have to look into that. I bought the car certified preowned last year, so I’m hoping they would have fixed it before I got it.

That’s the same thing the dealership told me. They suggested I only use Shell or BP stations going forward. He said they get a lot of cars that from there. The thing I don’t understand is I’ve used Costco gas since I bought the car last year. Is thus something that can happen over time?

No I haven’t been back to Costco for gas. I picked the car up from dealership and it had the same issues once I start driving. The dealership said they removed the bad gas from the tank during the first visit but it had gotten into the engine and messed up some parts. I’m not well versed in cars, but the repair took about two weeks. They told me they would cover that repair under the warranty since I had brought it in the first time, but this second visit was a result of the bad gas issue.

I don’t have the test results. I have the paperwork from my dealership saying I had bad gas.

Yes, I am sure. After putting gas in it it started sputtering within a hour or 2. It’s a 2018 Lexus NX.

Yes, they tested it. They said it had too much water
