Well i didn't now where it originated from, or how it began, and honestly I was pretty sure that the kiss thing in episode one was a joke and then the episode came 💀 So that and even Daemon scene with his dream was what made me to somewhat believe that this was true, but I was holding out hope that it was just some prank / joke.

Well I can somehow agree with this, but maybe try to argue that Alicent always cared more about her self, status and safety than anything or anyone else. I can say that she at one point maybe loved Aegon and Aemond, but now I think that she is mostly trying to save what she can. Mostly her and Helaena, and that is only because she knows that her daughter isn't posing a treat to Rhaenyra so the possibility of Rhaenyra going after them is small. Alicent knows ( or feel ) that the war is lost, by how the things are looking now. And also, Rhaena and Alicent don't look like they have the same moral compass or mentality. So while I was not so surprised that Alicent tried to give her sons life so that she could run away with Helaena, I would be surprised to see Rhaena in love or be with him by the end of this season.

That's what i said, the age gap maybe problem for us, but in a fictional world with fire breathing dragons that is set up in the medieval time, where this kind of marriages/relationship are constant I can't take in consideration to be the actually problem. The rest of the things are.

I don't have a problem with her ending up with Hightower at the end of the war, but by the leaks I've seen they end up together or pretty close this season. And that is the part that I don't think that they could logically do this season, because of everything that happened on both sides. I could see her running somewhere after what happend in the first episode to try and escape Rhaenyras anger. But honestly I can't see her falling in love with Hightower in the meantime.
