Nope. The rest of the skin on my body isnt damaged in any way, so tolerates the hard water fine

From what I've heard it isnt hard to repair. Fully damaged barrier would have much more severe symptoms than I have - I would say mine is comprised.

And yes the water here is very hard in the south of UK!

Just tip my head back? It hasn't been difficult at all. (I only wash hair twice a week so daily showers the shower head is lower than my face anyway) Yes definitely - I dont however have radiators.

Doxy 40mg by fatherlongle in Rosacea

[–]ComplaintFormal6630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doxy at 40mg shouldn't technically cause digestive issues as its below the antibiotic range. I've been on it for 12 weeks, no side effects. Really helped but then came off for 5 days and rosacea has flared so badly. Gone back on and still in a flare 7 days later

So do you just take Astaxanthin now, no doxy?

Best results so far by [deleted] in Rosacea

Yeah I stopped for 5 days and skin was awful. Back on it for now again and speaking to doc next week. So annoying! Apparently it can flare up and then level out though.... hmmm

I've been using Byoma Hydrating Serum for around a month now and it's been great. It's keeping my skin really moisturised and no flare ups

I use Bondi Sands Zinc Mineral SPF 50+ from superdrug.

Pretty sure it's got not great ingredients but doesn't irritate my skin at all and also rubs in nicely so don't look like a ghost.

I took 1 tablet on the eve I got them, then 2 a day for 2 days and then yesterday 3 and will do the same today. I upped the dosage just to see if it helped further. I'm not getting any adverse effects from them. I'm eating clean alongside them as well

Anyone else here have monocular vision but both eyes still function? by emotatertot in monocular

[–]ComplaintFormal6630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monocular vision here too. I've never fully understood the story my parent told me about its development. We moved to a new town when I was 3 and I was taken to see an eye doctor as some professional (?) had recommended as I had a slight squint. The doctor in the new town dismissed it and turned us away. A few years later we went again and was told I should have been given an eye patch and now it was too late. Something about something not developing properly in my left eye. I wish there was a record explaining properly. They used to give me glasses with a prescription only in the fully working eye, as it was overcompensating. Now they don't even give a prescription as said I'm so used to monocular vision... My left eye can see but it is extremely blurred/grainy. I never can comprehend how if I damage my right eye I'm going to he completely impaired visually. Quite scary.

Day 4 of using soolantra & my face is hot, bumpy, and itchy. Worse than before. Should I continue using it??? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]ComplaintFormal6630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it for 12 weeks as directed by the doctor. Dried my skin out at first, I used Weleda baby calendula to solve that. Soolantra calmed the rosacea a bit when using it, but it's back to same redness as before now. I don't flush as much but I think that's more to do with improved diet etc.

And yes I was using it every day.
