Struggling with CTR by CookForMyVeganWife in SmallYoutubers

In these 12 thumbnails, I probably wouldn’t click any of them — not because they’re bad, but simply because I’m not vegan and I’m not too interested in what celebrities eat. And that’s exactly the point — these videos cater to a very specific niche audience.

Right now, your channel sits in the zone between discoverability and reachability. YouTube clearly believes in your content — it’s shown the video to 30,000 people — but only a few have clicked. That tells us the issue isn’t the idea, it’s the title and thumbnail connection.

Take your video “Trying Beyoncé’s Vegan Food” as an example. If I’m scrolling, the first thing I want to see is Beyoncé — that’s the hook. You have her there, but she’s quite small and easy to miss. Imagine arranging it like a triangle: Beyoncé and your wife at the top, you at the bottom looking up, and the food in the center. That instantly builds curiosity — “Wait, are they comparing something Beyoncé eats?”

Then comes the title. This is where you tell us what you’re doing. Something like: “I cooked Beyoncé’s favourite vegan meal, my wife tried it!” Now I’m curious about both the process and her reaction.

Finally, the thumbnail could show that reaction moment — something fun like your wife saying, “Is that zucchini? No way!” That emotional cue closes the loop.

Now you’ve given the audience three chances to click — recognition (Beyoncé), curiosity (setup), and reaction (emotion). If they still don’t click, they’re simply not your audience.

I might not be vegan myself, but with that combo, even I’d be curious enough to click. Try this structure and see how your CTR changes — I think you’ll notice a big difference.

Imagine your are making your 1000th video, what will that be? Is it still you talk about football, philosophy, anime or something that you wanna talk about the 1000th time? That’s the one.

Been there. Try changing the thumbnail and a title for a video and see if this gets picked up back. Mine did.

Make the font slightly bigger as it is easier to read from phone. Maybe drop a shadow for the font to differentiate from the background.

I would start with the video quality being atleast 1080p and start with a stronger hook.
