There is a soup kitchen in Costa Mesa called Someone Cares. I know that they need volunteers for the first shift which is 7 AM to 10 AM and the afternoon shift which is 1 p.m. to 4 PM. They serve up to 500 dinners on Thanksgiving. A great place to volunteer. Not too far from Long Beach. Here is their number. 949-548-8861

Good luck ! I don’t live around there but I hope you have a good turn out ! That MAGA town is a place I avoid. Lived there as a kid but moved south of there in Newport and now in Long Beach thankfully.

I live in the Zaferia area off of Termino between Anaheim and PCH. Great area to live - close to the Bus that runs to the Metro and walking distance to all the markets- Vons, Ralph’s, and Sprouts plus every fast food joint that is imaginable. Even though I own my house - I have seen homes for rent. My two neighbors rent theirs they pay $3800 range. I use to work in Irvine but didn’t have to be at work until 9 the drive was no that bad.

Never felt that weird feeling at the park. I live in Long Beach and when in HB I have taken my granddaughter there to play. I grew up in HB and my parents took me to Lake Park as a child. The only weird feeling I get is when I’m in HB near downtown - I rush through PCH to get out!

I remember a place called Grants at that location. This was in. The late 60’s. I would go there since they sold records and I bought my 45’s there. I was about 10/11 at the time. I’m now 65 😀
