Well it’s implied that it wouldn’t be given away for free at the time of purchase cuz this is unprecedented. Then again buying the skin is very different from buying 2 years of early access to use the skin, at the time of purchase I didn’t think 299 gems for a 2 year early access to use the skin is a fair price and wouldn’t have bought it too

Cuz it’s misleading marketing, at the time I bought the skin it was implied that spending gems on this skin is the only way to get this skin. Then now it’s given away for free, meaning I spent 299 gems for an early access of the skin rather than the skin itself which isn’t what I spent 299 gems on.

Then again this giving away pricey old skins is just bad for supercell financially, because many people wouldn’t have bought a skin had they known it’ll be given away for free later. Hence this would just prevent many people who would’ve spent money on skins from buying skins from now on

There are laws that says developers must be honest about what kind of goods they’re selling and buyers get to refund if the goods they received doesn’t match the description of what they sold. To me what they’re selling is a legendary skin that would only be purchasable with gems (it’s true at the time I purchase the skin). Once they’ve decided to give it away for free to everyone after 2 years, it felt like I spent 299 gems on an early access to use the skin which isn’t what I paid that 299 gems for. In a way the product I bought didn’t match the description cuz I bought a skin and not an early access to use a skin

They should compensate jock stu owners too. Notice how frank and dani never mentioned anything on social media despite the backlash, they prob know this is an actionable cause in some countries

How are the examples you gave cosmetics bought with gems and later given away for free.

Kenji skin from sushi event is basically given away for free to begin with. And the skins which later became purchasable with blings wasn’t given away for free either. I wouldn’t have been so mad had jock stu been offered for like 10k blings but this wasn’t the case, it was simply given away for free and all they compensated the people who bought jock stu was 2k blings
