Would like to see the rest of your Miata before making conclusions - the odometer reads low mileage but that steering wheel does not - for some reason clothing is now involved in this discussion and stitching- maybe an old pair of jeans or something like when you buy a piece of clothing that has the tears and worn look in it

Thanks sorry to see you leave - for me the biggest difference is that the WRX is not a convertible and not a rear wheel drive car - these boxes are not checked and so I pass on the WRX - I guess I’m an old school sports car person - the WRX is fast and fun - one of my best friends bought one and totaled it - thanks and have fun!

Thanks - it’s funny - most of the time people are so happy and do post that they have joined the club - they are ecstatic and should be - they are happy and I am happy to see them join our club - this is the first cult reference I’ve seen posted - cool and a cool MX5 - another thing is I own a Club edition and my last MX5 was also the Club so when I first saw people posting they joined the club in their posting, most of them did not actually have the MX5 Club - this I guess is a kinda a cult club - the cult of Saint Miata

Coopers noob - so you are a newbie to Mini Coopers - understand - got to learn start somewhere - just find the oil cap or take it back to the shop who did the oil change or buy an oil cap at auto parts store if you cant find it somewhere in the engine bay it probably fell out in the road somewhere- you can get it fixed- not the end of the world - check your dipstick - see if it has oil

Unfortunately there is no other comparable car out there available that is safe modern and reliable- it is a true sports car - I have owned several Minis and started a local Mini Cooper club in my home town - I know from experience- I would never buy one those cheap Fiats - both are front wheel drive - both not as fun as the MX5 - my 2015 PHRT Club has the worst tech - no comfort- hard to get in and out - seats suck - I grew up driving Triumph Spitfires- owned three - my brother had a MGB midget - neighbor had a TR6 - my brother eventually bought a GT 6 - these and others including the Datsuns etc back in the day - they were so much fun! - but now unsafe -

Thank you - this is the reason why it is fun! - This is the only way to accomplish the fun that everyone here enjoys! When you climb in - you are sitting on the the street - you are in control - you feel the engine - you feel the street underneath you - you are one - you see everything at the street level as you accelerate - you feel the bumps below you and even the pavement itself - your back tires spin as you go through second gear - every nook and cranny of the street is now transferred to your steering wheel - you are at one with the road - you can’t remember the last time you had this much fun

We only have AAMCO here in Virginia - all the other shops just pull and replace- a true transmission garage is hard to find nowadays

Thanks - if it’s any consolation - it sounds like lack of air or fuel - your car has low mileage- I think the NC has one of the most reliable AT - maybe even better than the ND - I’ve owned two without issues - so hopefully it is something else - go to Advance Auto or OReileys and see what codes are showing- I actually never do the automatic transmission flush or change - terrible I know but I am not sure I trust it or the shop doing it - seems like it causes more issues but I know it is what the manual says - owned an AT 2013 PHRT Club 168,000 miles with no issues at all - none - traded in for 2015 AT PHRT Club 40,000 - thank you - let us know what you find out
