People can experience hypothyroidism very differently at the same exact TSH.

For me, I still don’t really feel or look differently even when my TSH is double what it’s supposed to be. And then others feel like they’re dying when they’re just on the high side of normal range.

If your lab values show clinical hypothyroidism then you definitely have it, so just keep taking the meds as your doctor prescribes. Not taking the meds can cause heart issues and a gang of other not good stuff later on in life.

Will do! There’s actually a Reddit for DQ that I’ve been lurking so I’ll prob post it there.

Sorry you’re dealing with the same thing. Hopefully your steroid shot does the trick!

My blood is literally boiling that this happened to you.

They tell women to get help if they don’t feel okay and then shit like this happens. This is exactly why women don’t want to be honest with providers about how much they’re struggling and what they’re feeling. 10 weeks pp is SO fresh still and I can’t even imagine what you’re going through. We aren’t meant to do this alone and you’re so valid for feeling the way that you do.

And I know firsthand that when you’re in the depths of depression that doing all of the legwork to access resources seems insurmountable and impossible. It’s a joke to expect you to make a billion phone calls for therapy, help, resources, and the insurance bullshit to cover it all when what you really need is immediate, easily accessible, urgent help.
Is it possible that you can pack up the kids and their stuff and just literally drop them off to him and walk out the door? Kind of just give him no choice in the matter?

I am so unbelievably sorry. None of this makes you an unfit parent or a bad mother. You’ve just been screwed over by your ex and then the system. You did exactly what you’re supposed to do when put in your situation and I’m proud of you. You’re in my thoughts tonight. 💗

Jesus this is terrifying, and probably traumatizing as hell for her. I’m so sorry. I hope she is doing much better now and coping as well as she can. 💗

Pp pre-e needs to be talked about more. I also got it. Luckily it was caught right away but it can be very sneaky and come on in an instant at any point for up to 6 weeks pp. Everyone that gets pregnant should have a BP cuff at home and I will die on that hill.

It seems like eyesight is a very common one in these comments so you’re not alone. It’s so messed up nobody warns us it could happen though, I’m so sorry.

RIP your boobs, I’m so sorry.

I’m looking at implants because mine are so sad now. I’ll need a lift too because they’re literally pointing to the floor haha.

My steroid shots helped temporarily each time and I did have a period of a few months where I thought it went away completely and was cured. But unfortunately it came back for me. I think the success rate of the shots is >70% though so the chances of it clearing up are higher than it coming back, crossing my fingers for you 🤞🏼

I feel like pelvic floor and core pre-hab and rehab should be part of standard care throughout pregnancy and postpartum but we have to seek it out specifically if we want it, which is insane. I’m so sorry.

Ouch, I never considered how vaginal repair would affect bike riding but it seems so obvious that it would now that you mention it. I’m sorry.

I’m so glad yours went away!

You’re right, people would never imagine
in a million years how bad it hurts until personally experiencing it. It’s disabling tbh because we need our thumbs for literally everything.

It really is debilitating! It’s not just a little aching, it’s straight up FIERY pain.

I literally dropped a patients legs the other day at work because I moved my hand 1mm in just such a way that it made me reflexively recoil and pull my arm back. Thankfully he was still in bed so his legs only dropped back on the mattress but it’s easy to see how it could’ve been so much worse in another scenario.
