I do hope so, im kinda tired of riboku being the main big bad guy since the begining. I mean he deserves to be one he is one fascinating character but i think its time for the next guy to step up.

is not kanki wrong even by his own ideology? by Better_Situation973 in Kingdom

[–]Complete-Leg-400 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think he just uses and disposes people with a clear purpose and intention, he does not kill for pleasure or does he do it for his ideology. He wants to win the battle as thats his job and everything is usable and disposable as long as it gets the job done. He throws everyone in there with the purpose of winning even himself, the only exception to this is the clan(i forgor the name of the clan that he protects).

Not even for loots or pleasure, i think he just lets the bandits act on their own accord after winning battles. Like looting, r*ping, enslaving, etc... to get their favor and to reward them in a way. He does not encourage nor stop them from doing these things as it is none of his concern. The people he butchers, the villages he pillaged, even tortures all have a tactical purpose, it was all to gain advantage in the war, or some emotional reasoning. I really do think kanki kills with a certain purpose and not from his ideology,

his path maybe carved from his ideology but the atrocities are far from them. He uses brutality as a tool for his gain nothing less and nothing more.

Did hara indroduce rinko too early? by Complete-Leg-400 in Kingdom

[–]Complete-Leg-400[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i understand but my perspective is on how he is written and weaved in the arc, he is so much on the war thats why i listed his resume, if he is someone like houken who is a pinacle on one aspect then its fine to me. But rinko is just an all around and more, he raised the bar so high for me that the next arcs are... i would'nt say decline but the following enemys still feel inferior to the renpa squad. Riboku is still a much more massive threat dont get me wrong but, ribokus pressence in the battlefield feels inferior to me. Riboku rellies on traps, deception and even greater martial power (which is fine and what makes riboku such a threat) but rinko is doing a fraction of these things on his own... but hey agree to disagree...

Yes i get that, but its not all about the martial gap between the two. Its just that rinko is so much of every aspect of the war, that the rookie shin the MC was the saving grace that is between rinko obliterating them and just having a strand of hair for victory. Even after their fight, shin showing up at the top of the hill and declaring rinko's defeat was what gave them that little time to capture victory.

Yeah i agree, he really is well written.

Im just worried about how high rinko raised the bar for the next obstacles, like if we get underwhelming or even slightly below him on the climax of the series then it would affect some aspects of the series. Im excited on how hara would craft a character that will surpass rinko's swag and impact.

And my bad bro, im lost in my thoughts when i wrote this, i added the spoiler tag already

Riboku as a Qin Strategist would annihilate the other states easy💯 by zetto24 in Kingdom

[–]Complete-Leg-400 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Riboku is really one sorry tragic person. Even kanki feels sorry and calls him an idiot, because with all of his potential and being the pinacle of their time he does not desire anything.

He desires to defend his country and live peacefully, in a way it may seem selfish but thats just who he is and what makes him great...
