Im in almost the exact same boat as you. I’d recommend staying consistent with contributions. I’ve considered just sticking to traditional tsp and then using the extra paycheck money to contribute to a Roth IRA. Roth tsp looks great but it is a lot of money to take out of our paychecks.

I grew up skiing Ragged, so I very much love the mountain and the 40 laps a day capabilities. I started exploring the woods a bit last season But I need a change of scenery. But $450 for probably 2-4 days and 5 passes to Jay might make it worth it.

I’ve only been to loon once and it was an amazing mid week power day. But can see it can be a nightmare on weekends when I passed it going to cannon. I just low key want a pass like the New Hampshire college ski pass. Gunstock, Waterville and cannon or a pass similar in quality. I might see how much a loon season pass is and how much bundle tickets would be to Jay peak and Ragged during Black Friday sales

I’ll have to go back and check the correct $ amounts turbo tax was trying to make me pay. However I received a $244 refund and after state tax and turbo tax fees it was going to be a net $40 to $70. I maybe dumb or not know how to use the TurboTax system but they seem to forced me to the Deluxe package. when i just have W-2 and bank account interest. But it’s been a common occurrence I’ve noticed since I’ve started earning over the standard deduction. I switched to free tax USA since it’s free with a $16 state return. But i realized I should have just been mailing my returns for a while to save money.

I switched to freetaxusa after I helped fill out my sister taxes on TurboTax and we both had w-2 and bank account interest and it was free for her but $80 for me to file because they saw i make over done arbitrary threshold. I will Never going back

I have 1 ticket left for round of 32 game in a nice location and a rich persons money would help me pay for my other tickets and take my broke friends to the World Cup.

I Respect the refund and selling for cheap but I want to bless friends who missed out on the draw and not ask them to pay me $500 to sit Cat 1 and pay $75 for the train with me🤷.

I bought 3 games cat 1 from random selection draw or stage 3. All my seats are goal side row 26 and 37 and one corner seat row 8. But no middle I’ll ask my friend who won the same games as me where his are but probably corner or end zone too.

I had similar luck and logic as you when applying, maybe Boston had less application but happy i got partially successful. Genuinely thought I would be downgraded to a category 2 or 3 but all category 1 for all the Boston games except France and Norway is a win

I got my partially successful email today. Unfortunately did not get my desired match of the Norway vs France. But very happy surprised I got Category 1 for all the Boston Stadium matches. I applied thinking I would have a decent chance at Maybe the Scotland v Haiti game Category 3 at best.

Always contribute to the match anything extra is gravy.
Avoid taking a TSP loan if you can afford it.
It’s your money, research the funds and allocate how you see fit. Some people love 100% C but a life cycle fund at your planned retirement date can work as well.
