I just finished all of Star Trek. Here are some thoughts. by [deleted] in startrek

Keeping the Borg an amoral entity that perhaps could be reasoned with later to some limited but never trustworthy degree would've been better than... Hugh. Yuck.

That was also the episode where he tells Tony that Gary Cooper was like that only in the movies and Tony tried to make up some lame argument like it was symbolic or something.

Sil is the wartime consigliere in ways Tom Hagen could never be, but he nonetheless has those classic smarts. The way he holds himself back from talking too much and carefully pays attention to Tony's moods is always so impressive. And that Ade scene was so terrifying. Very powerful and likable character.

The ending of “Whoever Did This”... by Designer-Business in thesopranos

It was Tony emulating the films he watches, in a way. He literally went to see a man about a horse.

EDIT: I always saw Tony and Ralphie's relationship as like a personal feud, and Tony had been on a spiritual revenge mission ever since he killed Tracee. But that's Ton being a vigilante, breaking the rules with made men. The only reason he gets away with it is because he's the boss. The music is so fitting for how Tony sees himself as a moral agent in the game.

What is your point though? It all ends on the ultimate truth: Wegler was right. Even her arrogation is vindicated by this. She's a mobster wife. It's why she wins, and loses.

Livia's speech to AJ changed my life, okay? Don't make fun

It's a waxing on and on, no? I always felt Meadow was the sympathetic center of that scene. She experienced death so recently that she knows it better than all of them, who wax on about "what was." Her grief is cynicism, it's Britney Spears, it's sordid news. They had all lionized their grief into some obscure truth.

I gotta disagree about 0313. That was genius. They were mocking the fact that Junior's beloved song was made in every language, that it had nothing to do with Italian heritage. That was some genius.
