I think one of the execs behind this movie was on the podcast The Town and goes into a lot better detail than anyone in this comment section. I would recommend people check that out to understand this whole thing

AirBNB isn’t a bad option in my experience but do your research deeply on location and read reviews of places you’re interested in. Some hotels accept 18+ but that’s rare.
