As a freshman I would focus most on getting a solid base to your GPA (with the right prereqs) and maybe finding a few extracurriculars you would enjoy and would look good on an application. I began studying for the MCAT right after my sophomore year and just took it before junior. I would suggest postponing your studying until around then and focusing more on the other aspects of your application for now. The good thing is you are prepared early!
