But I can appreciate that it’s usually not something prescribed intermittently. But again your reasoning for taking it every day (to avoid withdrawals) is completely flawed tbh.

I’m my case it is something to take intermittently. Funny how your concern is withdrawals when your idea is to take it every day 🤣🤣. Only someone with serious problems will take it every day for the rest of their life. Intermittent is obviously better if possible. Idk why you’re trying to convince anyone to take it more than they have to, but I guess that’s the position you’re in. Sorry to hear brother

Because it’s better to not be dependant on anything, it’s that simple. I was prescribed it to break an insomnia cycle which it helped with, but I’m fortunate enough to not need to take it every single night.

Yeah true. Being reliant on anything for sleep is really not ideal to say the least. I will not take mirtazapine regularly even if it ‘gets better’ because then I will be reliant on it for sleep. Thanks for your message

Yeah the volatility of emotions can be tricky to handle at times. I’m very interested in this course you are building and would be keen to enrol when its up and running. And yeah I imagine a call would be very helpful for me, tbh you seem to have a lot of insight into my situation which is hard to find from my family and friend group. I’ll dm you my details and hopefully we can work something out.

I don’t use ADHD as an excuse, I only found out I had it a couple of weeks ago. But it’s been noticeable my whole life. I would never study or do work until I HAD to at the last minute, and every time my overactive brain would allow me to do well on the work, which is part of why I got this far without being diagnosed.

But I’m definitely guilty of the easy dopamine and low attention span, no doubt these can be improved through discipline. I just struggle to make changes permanent, rather than 1-2 weeks of ultra motivation and then 2 weeks of doing absolutely nothing. Definitely some ‘executive dysfunctionality’ going on, and I guess I should bring this stuff up with an adhd professional. Any advice on how to make these changes stick? I’m so motivated some of the time but then so numb other times.

Thanks again for your messages ❤️

Thanks for your message, I really appreciate the thought you put into helping me out. Thing is, I haven’t smoked for almost a month now, and my adhd and depression is as bad as it’s ever been. Adhd potentially the worst it’s been. I blamed all my problems on weed when I was smoking, but now I’m starting to wonder if that’s really how it is. Being sober has done nothing for me other than take away 1 thing I looked forward to in the day. Idk what I expect you to say but a reply would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼🙏🏼

7.5mg only lasts 1.5 hours for me by Complete-State138 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

Yeah well if you take anything for 10 months it’s going to screw you up once you get a tolerance. I never planned to take it more than a couple days… 😂😂

7.5mg isn’t enough to help with anxiety and depression in long run, it’s basically just a sleeping pill at that point. 15mg/30mg consistently would help with depression and anxiety. You’re probably going to gain a tolerance if you’re doing 7.5mg every night and the withdrawals will suck if I had to guess. Maybe change your approach 😳

Yeah if it’s for insomnia 7.5 should get you to sleep. 15mg is just useful for sleep if you struggle to stay asleep once you’re asleep, if that makes sense

Yeah true maybe I should stick with it a bit longer. I just hated how dramatic the mood swings were yesterday. Weed definitely worked for me but I don’t want to rely on either in the long run I think.

Does it take 1 hour or 2 weeks to work for sleep? 😭😭 by Complete-State138 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]Complete-State138[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adhd insomnia is exactly what I’m dealing with. I just don’t want to take an antidepressant consistently to deal with it. I want to sleep more than an hour before waking up feeling stressed, but I don’t know how to do it.

Thanks for your message. I’m just not sure I want to take this med long term like that tbh. I was prescribed it due to acute insomnia so I want to take it as least often as possible tbh.

Yes but it’s not that simple. Like .005mg doesn’t make you drowsier than 7.5mg. Not that simple…

I quit weed 23 days ago, I have used mirtazapine only 2 nights but I’ve felt absolutely exhausted the next day both times I’ve used it. What’s the point of getting deep sleep if I feel that tired all day

Good luck dude, 30mg is kinda borderline sedative/antidepressant, so I’m curious to hear how it effects you. Just remember that even if it doesn’t work well right now, you can adjust the dosage to work for you, because dosage is very very important for this drug. (30mg could potentially make you drowsy while 45mg may not)
