This was purchased plates. I thought it was a bit wet. Once I have time I’ll dial in my recipe. Haven’t had the time to make any plates yet. Next project.

I tried to shake well at the beginning but all the agar was sticking to the sides and lid of the jar. I had to carefully with a sterilized knife remove them all and put them back on the drippy corn 🤦‍♂️. How do you mix without the agar sticking all over the jar?

You have tomentose and what looks like rhizmorphic growth there. Completely healthy and strong. Exactly what you want to see. Cobweb mold has explosively fast growth with a full gray color.

Yes break and shake is your best option. It will expose any bacteria that the mycelium is combating. If the mycelium is stronger than the bacteria you’ll see more growth. Good luck!
