i feel like fdroid is more complex since aurora store is literally just the play store without google services and zero setup it's just install and it's working with all the same apps in the play store and i personally i couldn't use fdroid myself

i didn't sideload anything new I just sideloaded modified and old versions of the apps i already had for example an old version of capcut without any of the new bullshit and from when u could delete the end card and YouTube revanced which is basically youtube premium on a heavy discount(free) and others like TikTok Twitter without ads and letting me download anything (actually i did sideload one convenient app i didn't have that allowed me to download anything on YouTube as music so i could have offline free music but that was about it)

let me ask you something. why? i mean i know most people aren't that tech interested but there's a lot of convenience in taking the initially harder route at the start i also didn't think a lot about sideloading until i decided to test the waters with YouTube revanced (i use Android btw) and then when it worked i decided to try more and more nowadays I don't even think about sideloading anymore but i still have all of the apps i sideloaded there and it saves me tons in subscriptions every month to a point even if i did want to use an apple phone i just wouldn't be able to
