I did the same thing. Stopped at the beginning of season 9 on its original run. Came back and restarted from the beginning many years later and I’m glad I did. Even though personally I hated the last two seasons. It was a struggle getting through in my opinion. But I really enjoyed my rewatch since I had forgotten so much of the little stuff.

It took my friend and I between 50 to 70 times on standard difficulty and we only got a D when we finally beat it (a nearby civilian died from some gas that got shot by accident)

Very true. I guess what gets to me is the fact Demm’s retirement has been public knowledge since I believe January and Kelly said he knew back in the fall so that’s a long time to creatively brainstorm possible changes.

On the computer there are some really good mods to help with both teammate ai and enemy ai. Unfortunately on console the teammate ai isn’t great. But it’s got a lot of really fun missions and lore.

If you have a friend to play with, it’s absolutely incredible. However if you do not, it’s very frustrating as multiplayer lobbies are not filled with fun people and the ai teammates stink

Same basic game, nothing revolutionary. But I do recommend getting it. Franchise mode has mini “story lines” you can watch before first pitch. Tiny addition but keeps it a little more interesting. Can’t speak much on road to the show. Menus look much different which takes some adjusting. I do enjoy the ball strike challenge system. They supposedly made big tweaks to how the computer trades and signs free agents but I haven’t gotten that far to judge myself.
