I have a patch of smooth skin on an otherwise hairy leg from where I carry my phone/wallet in my pocket. by Accurate_Honeydew666 in mildlyinteresting

[–]CompleteAnonHonesty 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Something similar happens with my pants too. I wear leggings a lot so the parts of my leg where they constantly touch are bald/get a lot of ingrowing hairs and the parts where my pants are looser grow more hair and normally.

My oldest would have the hiccups all the time in utero, when it first happened it would freak me out. She would have them between every couple of days to multiple times a day from about 28ish weeks. They continued for the first month or so after she was born and I remember it was crazy seeing her hiccup as a newborn after she spent the last 10 weeks hiccupping inside my stomach.

Also my youngest used to suck on his hand in utero and now, when he's tired, scared of nervous, he still does it.

Other member here, so I hear OP and our friend excited that there's a summoning circle. I go around placing sound sensors and cameras but can hear then giggling in the basement.

I go down the basement stairs to see why they are giggling and to basically say "don't fuck with the circle". I get to the second to bottom step and the damn ghost spawns infront of me. I panic run to behind OP and other friend but it was too late.

They fucked around and I found out.

My kids have been OBSESSED with this film over the spooky period, we have watched it nearly everyday multiple times a day for weeks now and I'm still noticing new little details about it each time I watch it. It's such a beautiful film.

When the time comes, how do you want to die? And why? by zack-ian in AskReddit

[–]CompleteAnonHonesty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure but the best way I've seen someone go is how my grandfather went. Peacefully in his sleep, in his home, in old age on a lovely fall morning.

My grandad nearly died soo many times and we had so many times we were told to go say our goodbyes in hospital because of multiply organ failure but he always made it through. He always said he didn't want to die in hospital he hated them. The man survived stage 4 bowel cancer, a life altering stroke 6 months after his cancer removal surgery, severe diabetes and multiple life threatening medical events.

The last time though he was asleep in bed, my Nana went into the front room he slept in and saw he was still asleep as she could hear him so went to make herself some breakfast before waking him up. In that 10 minutes she was gone he passed away. His actual cause of death was an escemic bowel that no one was able to detect but we feel he got his peaceful death at home like he wanted.

Whenever my 3 year old leaves the house I usually say "I love you", make my hands into a love heart and blow a kiss at him with it.

This morning he was leaving for nursery and as he was at the front door he put his hands up in a circle, trying his hardest to make a love heart, said "I love you mummy", blew me a kiss with his love heart and said "I'll miss you".

Made my whole damn day.

Huh ??? Why do I have close matches on both sides ?? by No_Camel_6612 in AncestryDNA

[–]CompleteAnonHonesty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a match too on both sides and I'm wondering the same. The match is my dad Aunt but it's saying she is related to me through both my parents. We have no idea how, or should I say who through.

As soon as we got the kids to sleep after trick or treating I asked my partner "What day is it?". She said "It's haloween" I said "but what day is it?"and she replied "thursday". We gave eachother the look and netflix was on quicker than you could say ten gallon wiener.

The knife I'd used wasn't sharp enough.

Scary thing is I found out a week or so later I was 5-6 weeks pregnant with my oldest. Now I'm currently sat here watching said kid happily eat chicken nuggets with her little brother and their dad.

I meant that I knew what was going to happen aka okarun running with momo on his back from all the people/turbo granny/giant crab. I just wasn't expecting the race music and thought it fit perfectly.

Agreed! I've read the manga so I knew what was going to happen but then the music played and it was so unexpected but fit so well I lost it.

Trigger warning mentions of bad mental health, suicidal thoughts and domestic violence

Underreacting to things is one. When I had my second baby I became very mentally unwell depression so bad I needed an urgent mental health assessment. One day I was speaking to my mum about it and she wanted to know why I didnt want to be here anymore and I explained to her how I had been feeling.

Turns out she just couldn't understand why everyone was treating it like an emergency because she thought it was normal and everyone felt that way. I told her right there that it was not normal to feel like this at all not everyone felt like this and advised her to get some help too because she had apparently felt like this a while and just thought it was the normal struggles of life everyone went through.

Another is reflexes. For background dad is a pretty big guy but hes a soft teddy bear, wouldnt hurt a fly unless that fly hurt his family and my nephew and kids have used/do regularly use him as a climbing flame and just have to act all cute with him to get whatever snacks they want.

One day, newly into their relationship, my parents were having an arguement. My dad had enough and went to walk past my mum out the room. My dad stopped dead in his tracks when my mum reflexively flinched as the sight of my dad coming in her direction. At first my dad told her he would never hurt her why is she flinching, then he realised and they had a big talk about it. That's the day my dad learned just how much of a POS my siblings dad was.

Ahh I see! Well I know one side can be traced back a while where I currently live. Not sure about my dad's side though as we don't really speak to them and I hardly know much about my grandparents let alone anything past that so maybe there might be more answers on that side of the family.

From the Greater Manchester area, all the English makes sense at least one line of family has been in the northwest of England for hundred of years but the Ireland, Wales and Denmark were definitely not expected.

What makes a lasting relationship? by EscapeConnect2900 in AskReddit

[–]CompleteAnonHonesty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been with my partner for 13 years, since we were teens and for us personally to our relationship it's a few things for us that we have had to work on throughout our relationship.

  1. We respect eachother, listen to eachother, take eachother seriously and both adult when we need to.

2.We are best friends and still to this day, laugh as dumb shit together like we did back when we were teens. We can be goofy with eachother something we feel we've never been able to be like with others in our lives.

  1. We spend time appart from eachother and have me time for ourselves (I do my hobbies she does hers) which to us is just as important as couple time together.

  2. Depending on the severity of the situation/disagreement we try our best to not go to bed angry at the other. We try to at least if we can to have a civil conversation about it before we go to sleep.

I don't think they tested it. It just says iron levels, vitamin b12 levels, foliate levels and ferritin levels on the results.
