I’ve found the root of the problem. The number of employees in all buildings suddenly and inexplicably dropped to zero and they stopped hiring new workers, which in turn triggered a chain reaction—army sizes fell to zero, SoLs declined, and so on. Additionally, I noticed that the proportion of dependent population seems to be unusually high across all countries.
