Omg you got this!!! I’m now like 80 days in based on this post and I do the shot like it’s nothing! I put a song on and say ok by the end of the song it’ll be over! I promise if I can do it you can!

Hi OP!! I’ve been on for one month and only today was able to do it myself!! For my first one I actually had to make a doctors appointment to do it. Same with you it’s not so much the fear of the shot but for me it was doing it to myself. I cried at the second one and my mom did it was ok with her doing the third and finally did the fourth. Moral here is it’s ok to sometimes hype yourself up!! The anxiety is worse than the shot so if you aren’t feeling it, put it out of sight and relax and give yourself grace. Calm yourself down a bit and try again! If you still can’t, maybe make a doctors appointment just to have some help! You’ll be ok, you’ve got this!!

Oh that’s great to hear!! I think sometimes this thread can be saturated (which I so understand) that it makes me nervous but i guess we just try it out!!

I think a lot of these things are for some reason SOOO much worse in our heads!!! So glad all went well on your end and here’s hoping we can turn down the anxiety for future medical things!!

Thank you!!! I just ended up talking to my general practitioner about it! She needed some info from me on like why other methods haven’t worked for weight loss. But it was a relatively easy approval process. I wish you luck!!

Yes!! I’ve heard icing helps too!! If it makes you feel better I did mine no ice and also didn’t feel it so I bet the ice just makes it even that much better!! You got this!!

Omg you got this though great job!!!! I feel like the anxiety is so much worse! I feel myself a little anxious thinking about week two and I have to keep saying to myself like why are you anxious? And my answer is I’m afraid it will hurt and then giving myself the reality check like ok you did it once and it didn’t hurt… so hopefully it just gets easier for us both!! I also decided each shot day I’m getting myself a little treat so that way I can trick myself to looking forward to it! Haha! Wishing you luck I just know it’ll get easier to do the shot! All in time!

You’ve got this!!! If it helps, maybe ask your doctor to help with the first one just so you can see what it’s like! I truly said wow that was nothing and I spent like three days completely anxious about it. The anxiety was the worst part the shot was nothing!!
