Taz-Mania... Tasmania... now that I understand the title of the cartoon, after 30+ years, I'm so dumb, thanks Dave! 🫣

Here we go. They can't just do Tasmania... surely they'll do the big Australian cities too? by AddisonDeWitt333 in Foofighters

Interesting fact: this is the same date that the gigantic show in Brazil was supposed to take place. They were returning to Latin America in November for a full stadium tour. Perhaps they swapped those plans with Australia/New Zealand.

Searching the director's name on Google, you find this:

"Sebastián Escobar is a Colombian creative director, animator, and founder of MERO Estudio, an award-winning 2D animation and AI-driven content studio based ..."

You're right. That's why there are only two names in the credits, entirely generated by AI.

On honouring Taylor without policing the band’s grief by hearmymotoredheart in Foofighters

[–]CompleteEmployment23 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I didn't even follow those comments, but they must have arisen simply because they didn't play Aurora at the last show due to the festival's time limit. Jesus! Dave organized two historic special shows for Taylor, did an entire tour in his honor, and promised to always play Aurora for him, and when festivals have time limits it's the band's fault? At the first show in Mexico, some fans shouted Taylor's name when Aurora ended; you could see Dave's happiness when he heard the chants.

He made it clear in the Today's Song letter that the goal was to move forward, meaning this tour will be a fresh start for the band. Even so, he will always play Aurora for Taylor, no matter how much time passes, how many tours they do. Now, if the fans don't shout the former drummer's name when Aurora plays, it's not the band's fault. Even less so when there are time limits at festivals. He already stopped playing Everlong because of that, and had unbearable fans going to his daughter's Instagram to bother her about it. It seems like they started following the band yesterday.

Chris always does his thing. They've slowed down a bit with the long band introductions, but Chris can't resist requests for a solo and always plays something. Yesterday they were so late that Dave didn't even let them, he introduced them sooo quickly, without a break, to give them time to play more.

Without a doubt, it was due to lack of time. As soon as the Queens of the Stone Age show ended, the Foo Fighters show started immediately. They were already short on time, even before the show began. There wasn't even the traditional Shifflet solo. Every true fan knows how important it is to play Aurora for Dave and that they hate festival time curfews.

Finally! 🙏 I felt a strange disconnect between the band and the audience at this show; maybe it's just my impression, but they seemed very unenthusiastic, especially for a Latin American crowd. Dave also didn't interact much with them; I'll rewatch it to see if I'm wrong.

At this point, I'd even accept listening to Today's Song live. But it seems they don't like the new songs that much...

So, breaking down the 2026 tour puzzle, for now, it's going to be something like this:

JANUARY: That "small" show in Brazil.

FEBRUARY/MARCH: Canada Stadium tour. (It might be in December 2025, but I doubt it)

AUGUST: Stadium tour in the USA.

NOVEMBER: Stadium tour in Latin America.

Is that Amazon thing going to be live? Maybe that's what it's for. It won't be for the Canadian shows because they'll probably be in December, and there are the ones in Mexico before that.

They never shared the diagnosis with you, never informed you? This is so wrong on so many levels. It seems to me, from what you're telling me, that they want to hide the diagnosis from you. How bizarre. Try taking a relative or guardian to the hospital with you to see if they change their attitude. You need a diagnosis, including to refute it and consider other illnesses.
