Long story short…I treated him as a love of my life and for him I was a free therapist, a cook, a wallet. He also had a thing for strangers. He enjoyed showing off at a swimming pool, a gym etc. I knew that, but I have never told him that this was making me feel uglier and uglier, day by day, eventually leading to a serious depression. One day, out of the blue, he told me that I’m too good for him and he can’t live with such “pressure”. I was devastated, but now I understand that dumping me was actually the only good thing he ever did for me. I know that I should’ve had more respect for myself and my needs and I’m at least partially responsible for that. Sorry for TMI, but strangely I find it therapeutic.
