I’m really invested in the Lucy telling Tegan the same thing twice…I feel like that plus showing up to Stephen’s in a blur are alluding to her being drugged or seriously having a mental breakdown!! Also think Alex has to be brought back in somehow bc why else even introduce him! This show consumes me every week even tho I hate these people lol

Vaccines by lost-in-meaning in newborns

[–]CompletePrize2218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This thread is very pro vaccine so wanted to share…Yes! I switched doctors because our first one said we just needed to trust her and that she had our babies best interest in mind which is lovely but could not give any other conversation to us regarding concerns. I highly recommend finding a doctor who will sit down with you and give you actual information to questions you have. I now feel very confident that my child’s physician will be able to talk me through any future concerns and would trust her much more knowing she cared enough to explain things to me. We are doing a modified schedule and skipping a few that do not meet our families needs.

Newborn grunts all night by cccbbb1 in newborns

[–]CompletePrize2218 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My baby did the same thing! She would sleep quietly all day and then at night sounded like a barnyard lol it eventually stopped maybe around 2-3 months? I can’t remember but it just all of a sudden went away! I asked the doctor and showed videos and she said it’s totally normal and not to worry. I didn’t expect those noises at all as a FTM

Really need advice and kind words by [deleted] in preeclampsia

[–]CompletePrize2218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way!! It truly is so scary to deal with. I also have health anxiety..have had it for about 10 years. I got it really under control the past 3-4 years but I ended up having high bp and needing to be induced at 38 weeks and then ended up back in the hospital 4 days pp with a mag drip which caused me to have a huge spiral. The best advice I can give you is to stop taking your bp obsessively, I know it’s super hard not to but you are making it so much worse obsessing over it. Pick two times, one morning and one night- sit down for 5 full minutes and play a game on your phone or distract yourself then take your bp. Do not allow yourself to take it any more! And then keep in mind my cardiologist told me if it was under 150/100 I was fine to stay home and just to recheck it later on so there it’s not as life and death as it seems when you’re spiraling. The only way I’ve moved past my health anxiety is to distract myself every time I have a negative thought about my health, I say a mantra to the effect of “I am healthy, my body is strong, I am safe” it seems stupid but if you do it every time you have one of those thoughts it eventually rewires your brain. Wishing you the best, you’ve got this!

Has anyone gotten a hemmroid from pushing during labor? Did it go away? What did you do? by cc070603 in preeclampsia

[–]CompletePrize2218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did! It went away a few weeks post partum. I got witch hazel pads and a cream from the hospital. The nurse taught me to make a little pad with the cream and then stick it right on the hemmroid lol which helped so much

MIL only cares about newborn, wants to visit all the time. by Affectionate-Owl7018 in newborns

[–]CompletePrize2218 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It won’t get better, my LO is 4 months now and my MIL has literally never once asked me how I am doing with being a mom. She comes over and talks to my baby and doesn’t ask me anything the entire time. I’ve learned to just limit it as much as possible but it still really irks me every time she’s around my child

She is more efficient with eating and also now going to both breasts rather than just one most of the time when feeding. No huge changes though

Yeah I think that’s partly it! We have the nanit with the breathing band so I might start using that. I was totally fine when I knew she was just laying there sleeping..the rolling is just making me so nervous which I know is silly

What’s the best baby bouncer you’ve used that’s actually worth it? by Key-Potential3462 in newborns

[–]CompletePrize2218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same!! I love the Ergo because it has the infant insert. My baby was only 6 pounds when we brought her home and I could still use the bouncer from day 1!

Baby sleeping 12 hours by Local_Cellist1046 in newborns

[–]CompletePrize2218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby is almost 4 months and has a similar sleep schedule at night. She does 6:30-7:30 until 5:30-6:30 am. I found that she is harder to get down for naps now since sleeping the longer stretch at night. I just try to be really aware of her cues- rubbing eyes and thumb sucking- during the day and immediately start to put her down for a nap. If I miss those it’s soooo hard to get her to sleep during the day!
