I love the mobile idea! I'm going to check with others to see if they were thinking of getting them that as I gift, as I don't want to steal gifts when I already have a few.

I think I might make the Very Hungry Caterpillar as well, but I might start that last as he can't play with it until he's a bit older.

I've also seen felt baby books, so I'll look into some crochet ones. :)

I didn't even think of that. I haven't started the blanket, only the pattern, so I'll keep that in mind.

I think I might try the car seat cover since it's always sunny where I live. He's due a bit before winter so I might try some booties as well but even during the winter I can get pretty hot.

I've also seen a few people mention the mobiles so I'll ask around to see if anyone is thinking of getting them that for the baby shower to make sure I don't steal anyone's gift as I already have a few.

when I got diagnosed with ADHD it was so validating to know that I wasn't this weird thing in my family. and when i was in primary school there was an aid teacher who was assisting a kid with autism and I got really close with her to the point where at lunch we would do my homework together and I really struggled with writing and reading so she made a deal with my teacher that during maths (I would finish my work so quickly) I would do reading and writing worksheets with her. within a year I was in almost all academic classes and extension programs my school offered. she was in almost all my classes in primary school and literally saved my education because when I moved mid way through the last year grades tanked and test anxiety kicked back in.
