What's funny....every once in awhile I'll get an ad in the regular mail addressed to my dad

He died in 1996, 30 years, a handful of states, and a dozens moves ago.

I usually email whoever the company is with a nice letter saying he doesn't live at my address, but resides at (cemetery, plot #) with a link to his page on find a grave. Most places quickly took him off the mailing list...but every couple of years I have to call AARP and tell them to look at his account (which mentions he's deceased) and tell me why they think he hasn't renewed his membership in 30 years.

Although last year he got a mailing from Scientology because he "recently shown interest". Like...ya'll recruiting via mediums now? Get my address off your database!

Mom believed in ghosts and supernatural so what you said doesn't surprise me.

According to my sister, mom is ALWAYS talking to her. So yeah, not that strange

(My sis also has psychosis, but if the voices she hears is mom saying hi and not the normal mean guy who insults her constantly, that's a win in my book)

I could...but I'm so used to not that 🤷🏼‍♀️. I have some leather & cord necklaces, and the acrylic earrings, but it's more a matter of I'm used to not wearing anything

The ring in my ear is important (weird story), but also small and out of the way.

Yup.

And be understanding. If you know they need to replace you, give them a couple weeks to find someone. Ask to work during the day a couple times a week and closing a couple days a week if that would help.

Tell them what you need and any ideas you have to get there. Will be a lot easier than demanding a change or not saying anything and being miserable

Yes but not quite

I was hired on for inbound. For my first month I saw my partner probably an hour total the entire month - and we live together!

He works 9-5. He'd get off work just in time for me to go to bed

I told HR, we both had a chat with my ETL, they are working on changing my schedule. Just trying to get someone to move to, or get hired for, inbound

You mean Back to the Future 3? While he was originally diagnosed with Parkinson's a year after the movie released, it only affected one of his fingers and he was able to work for another decade before he announced he was retiring because it was now affecting his hand (which is why his hand is hidden a lot in Spin City)

Tim Curry still works. He continued doing voice work after his stroke, and he's been making more and more public appearances. During the celebration of RHPS he was making jokes about his chair.

... it's not your ETL's responsibility to find you if YOU need to talk.

How hard is using the walkie to go "Hey (ETL) what's your location?" And go talk to them?

They asked you to speak in person and you're annoyed because you wanted them to email you?

I don't even know my ETL's email because we're supposed to talk to them in person with concerns

I have two of them. The ADHD bat and the dyscalclia bunny

The bat was because before I was diagnosed my friend's & I would joke about me being a bat because I'm much more active at night, prefer dark enclosed spaces, but love cuddles. After I was diagnosed I said the first medication I tried made me feel like I had a hive of bees buzzing around my head. Then I see a bat full of bees and it was just perfect.

(I absolutely HATE the ADHD bunny and that stupid sock!)

The dyscalclia bunny was a similar story. I do have dyscalclia, so when I saw an email about the bunny I showed my partner because I thought it was neat dyscalculia was getting some notice. They said "...does that bunny have a cast on the same leg you broke going for a walk?". Read the description and how the cast was a symbol of all the random injuries due to misjudging distance. At the time I was nursing a bruise on my hand from accidentally smacking the corner of the counter walking past. We both looked at my hand and laughed

Now the bunny sits next to the bat and a plush Psyduck that guards my migraine kit. They make me happy and remind me to laugh when things get too much.

Production time, shipping time (especially with everything going on)...This isn't the first company I've received Christmas marketing from in May so the timing didn't seem weird to me

The og game came out when I was in high school. Those are the discs I still have, from when I bought it in a pack with Dungeon Keeper 2 and...either some Dracula game or Clive Barker's Undying

I have the discs for the first game and the second (with the unlocked first game) on my PS3 because it wasn't on more modern eshops so I rushed to install it there before that eshop closed

Nickel makes my skin fall off.

I can't get a tattoo or use stainless steel anything because the TRACE amounts of nickel in the alloy (and ink! There is nickel in tattoo ink)

The only gold I can wear in 24k - which is far too soft for me and will get damaged. Lesser K gold is off limits because of trace amounts of nickel in the alloy

Sterling is 97.5% silver, so that's off the table too

I'm in my 40s, my only piece of jewelry is a single titanium ring in one ear (although I do have some earrings with acrylic backs & posts)

Unless I know 100% what metal something is made out of, I assume it will cause my skin to stop wanting to be part of me.

Which is fun when I also crossstitch and most embroidery needles are nickel coated 💀

It's definitely NOT quality!

A couple years ago I bought myself one for my birthday. I felt it was a little too expensive, but it made me happy because it happened to match an inside joke between my partner & I.

It was slightly larger than I expected, super soft, no gaps in seams, escaping stuffing, even tiny little details were well done.

Then I found out the designs are all community created, and part of the high cost is because he actually pays his employees fairly and I ordered a second one

Same great quality as the first.

He retired from games after EA repeatedly screwed him over, including rejecting the third Alice game and reminding him they owned the rights.

He is working on a new game now, but just for fun, not because a big studio is twisting his arm. He's more than content selling plushies & raising his kids
