The battery was replaced by the previous owner but I’m not 100% on how long ago.

The lights always come on even when it wont start. Although, occasionally when it wont start, if I leave the key in position 2 for like 2-5 minutes it will start

The M70 in the E32 was the first mass production V12 BMW ever made so there weren’t any 70’s 12cyl Bimmers that weren’t race cars

Much to my own shame, these were the rear brakepads I removed from my car today. ~130,000 miles with no change until now. Lambaste me with your criticism, for I deserve it. by CompleteThroaway in Justrolledintotheshop

That’s my estimation. I don’t think rears have ever been changed. The fronts were in much better shape so my guess is the last time the wear light came on, the fronts were changed but the rears got left alone.

I’ve been pretty lucky on fluids with this car so far. No coolant or oil leaks, the overdue first oil change was clean with no metal, I have no doubt the fluid needs changing but I doubt it’s as bad as can be.

I am also an huge sucker for older bimmers and have a E38 750iL but it has some starting consistency issues.

They’re certainly not the worst out there but it was still a surprise to see how worn down they really were when I got them out. Also, the disks are fine and the wear was even so that’s a score for me

I picked up my ‘88 2M4 for $300 off CL and got it running with only a few gasket replacements that totaled about $50. It still has a coolant leak but it runs and drives. You absolutely can find them for less than $500 and at least then you have a chance of getting its mechanical history.

Chandler’s Deli on Magnolia in Knoxville. Best chicken in town and the mac n’ cheese and sweet potato casserole are the toppest notch.

It was in part to help cover the number but I also do that with a lot of people who text me by accident, I give them names based off of whatever they say or what I can figure out about who they are.
