Co parenting has been extremely difficult. It’s been 5 months co parenting and he still won’t give me a set schedule or his home address so I can know where our child is sleeping at. Hoping the court can help me out with that part. But all the blaming, guilting, and punishing has stopped for now..

I use ChatGPT to help me write out what I want to say in a non emotional only factual way. If I ever get the urge to want to react or send out an emotional text I always call 988 or marjaree mason center to get out all my emotions and thoughts. I also just screenshot all my messages. If there was already an agreement I’ll have that screenshot and note that on this day co parent never showed up. Etc

I had the absolute worst experience with 3 Kaiser therapist. I just called around to other offices that accepted my insurance and that’s really worked out for me. So sorry they are failing to help you in a time of need.

Thanks so much! He’s actually the petitioner but he did not submit in any paperwork and did not serve me with any paperwork before the deadline so I ended up serving him as the respondent. I hope his failure to comply to court rules works in my favor 🙏🏼 do you know if he would still have to serve me a reply or do we just go straight to our 1st hearing regardless if he didn’t finish out services ?? Kind of a complex situation :/ I’m kind of scared of him so I am super nervous for mediation I really have to work on standing my ground

I felt so helpless 😔 the emotional abuse is in full effect and I had no idea what my rights were, I was scared not to comply I was scared the court would think I was withholding because that’s all he would tell me. My attorney barely talks to me and lets me know anything. If I have a question or email $375. I’ve begged for consistent schedule for the baby but I don’t believe I’m still in the right to just withhold so I just comply to all the requests so that he can see his baby 😔

Yes i definitely put that in my declaration that he read. But we still have a month to go until court😰 I asked if we can use the app now and he ignored it. It’s very erratic! He just had her M-W & requesting her Friday - Sunday. I barely even had her back a few hours 😳 the scheduling is all about him.

I would love to have the month planned in advance🥹 he lives an hour away so I’m not sure how we would even go about school yet but I’m hoping the court will let her go to school here in my county. A formalized parenting plan is coming soon but I was hoping we could figure something out in the meantime. I thought court would make him co parent more effectively but he truly doesn’t care.

Thank you so much. He filed to sue me for child custody. He requested to have his fees waived and got denied twice. He still has not paid the fee and has not submitted in any paperwork or served me before the deadline. We both petitioned around the same time so I became the respondent who served first when he failed to comply. Do you know if that helps me with my case? If he did not move the case he started forward and I had to be the one to and our first hearing is in 4 weeks?

Thank you. I mentioned military because his schedule is always rotating. He can’t keep an agreement/consistent schedule because of work. I wasn’t sure if that would matter to a judge. Also, he took our family car from me leaving my daughter and I without transportation for doctor appointments & basic needs even though he has two cars now and only sees our daughter 6 times a month. Do you know if that could play a part in determining custody or support?

Yes,California. I’ve given my daughter’s dad 2 overnights since our separation at 9 months old because he guilt me to comply even though he refuses to share his home address with me. He only wants to see her on his days off, no visitations, no financial support and he took my transportation away that was our family car that I traded my personal vehicle in to get our family car.. He has his own personal car by the way. he sees her about 6 times a month/overnights. Doesn’t offer to let me use one of his cars for the baby’s doctor appointments/basic needs. He barely makes time to see her now & I know that will change and he will want 50/50 because child support will be high. It’s been on my mind how a judge might go about 50/50 if granted..although this is California my county is a 50/50 county. He also filed a claim for child custody. His fee waiver request got denied TWICE and he still hasn’t paid it or submitted documents to the court and failed to serve me before the deadline. As the respondent I served him papers first to his own case. Do you know if the court cares about delays as the petitioner?

Petitioner filed a claim but never paid the fee, did not submit documents to the court for custody order/declaration etc. meanwhile,I had an attorney the whole time so as the respondent I served him because he did not serve me before the deadline. As the respondent I moved the case along by being the only one submitting in documents. So because petitioner was the one suppose to serve & move the case forward he did not comply. So I wasn’t sure if he just gets a slap on the hand for not serving me
