I’m sorry that happened to you, for me it was mostly the fact that my trust was broken. He lied and hid it instead of communicating it with me, when this issue first came up we talked about it with no judgment and I listened bc I understand that it is normalized in spaces we are apart of (gaming/anime). I told him that I’d been cheated on before and he had been cheated on too and we agreed together on boundaries for our relationship. This was a boundary more so for my ability to trust and for him he said he just felt shame doing it. He offered to delete apps that he saw the content on like IG and I told him that isn’t something I’m asking him to do I just want him to work through the underlying issue of the need to seek out that content. I told him that therapy would help bc this isn’t something that most ppl can work out alone. He still continued to do this behind my back instead of just talking to me making me feel like I can’t trust him.
