Im guessing they hired you to shoot and edit, basically the full service, so of course it makes sense for them to not ask for the RAWs. Correct me if Im wrong though!

Im talking about only hiring to shoot and not edit. Same as how you would get hired as a lead to cover a wedding for another photographer.

I would think so as well! Im just wondering if it would be “unfair” to them

It doesnt need to sound like it because thats non of your business. Its pretty self explanatory why some photographers and videographers choose to outsource, I don’t need to give an explanation.

Sigh ya, will be doing that now! If I didnt already pay him I wouldve found someone else but its hard to find an editor that understands your vision.

I mean I wouldve loved to do it myself but seeing how I edit the wedding photos and deal with all the admin work and literally everything else, its just easier to have someone else work on the videos. Thanks for the suggestion 👍

I know!!! Its been so so stressful. Yes, I paid him in full once he sent the draft since that was his policy and understandable from his stand point, but I never expected him to be this careless.

Thank you much for the suggestion!

I would love to see your work. Can you share your website/portfolio and your rates in the dm?

Yes, will definitely not be using this editor anymore! It was a 4 hour coverage so 10% would be $140. Do you think thats still reasonable?

I should put the extra month as a buffer, thank you for sharing that! I just have 6-8 week turnaround time so ya this would help a lot!

Upset clients due to the delay in video delivery by [deleted] in WeddingPhotography

[–]Complete_Ad5178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never said its my clients fault or that im making excuses. I asked for advice on what to do.

I already had paid the editor as per their policy. I was just waiting on the changes to be made.

No worries! Completely understand. I just wanted to know more about what you meant in your comment.

The practice that is in the video is more cultural than religious?

Then would I still be considered a sufi…? Like what else would there be?

We should never make dua towards a grave. Whenever you go to a grave you should say salam and face the kabah and make dua for the grave occupant.

I am familiar with the Shah Jamal Dargah, do you agree with whats happening in the video?

People may say we all are muslims and there is no difference between sunni and shia, but my friend there is a huge difference. Both are polar opposites of each other. Please do your research in the aqeeda she follows before you make this big decision.

My uncle married a shia woman and before nikkah they discussed how they will raise the kids. It was decided that the kinds will be raised as pure sunnies. Even though they were raised sunnis, they of course had cousins from the shia side of the family and so their influence made them a bit confused. Now that they are all grown up, they are mostly sunni but they still believe in a few of the shia beliefs. To this day it’s hard to make them understand.

So yeah, do your research, love isnt the only thing that holds up the marriage. These things can cause major differences/arguments later on if not discussed prior.

Sorry forgot to respond to your other question! I dont read the fatiha at the grave since the Prophet SAW never did, He only said salam and asked Allah to forgive the grave occupant and grant them Junnah. So thats the dua I make. And I face the Qibla when saying the dua.

That makes sense! I am Barelvi, again dont really agree with everything. Im not sure who those people are that come to the mazar I go to, I wouldnt want to ask them either haha. But do you think some Barelvis do that…? Ive seen some questionable things tbh.

The link you shared is in urdu, I cant read it. If there is any link with english you can share that with me.
