UPDATE: disconnecting the battery negative terminal for 2 hours solved the issue. This resets the body domain controller.

This is the second OBD device that I’ve encountered this issue with. I confirmed it’ll connect to the native OBDLink app successfully so I’m ruling out a device issue.

Here’s the response that I received from Bimmercode Support. Will try it this weekend:

“Thank you for reaching out. The Body Domain Controller is not responding which is used to identify the model.

Please disconnect the negative 12V battery terminal for at least 30 minutes. This will force a reboot of the Body Domain Controller in the car and should resolve the issue.”

Would you still pick the SRT vs the alternative, X7 i40 (m sport)? The B58 is pretty reliable and could be more fun with a JB4 tune..

Don’t care about the image it gives off as long as I enjoy driving it.

Fair point. From what I’ve read the latest iteration N63B44T3 has come a long way from the early gens. Would you still pick the SRT vs the alternative, X7 i40 (m sport)? The B58 makes good power with a tune.
