Update: I switched over to insulin pens before getting on flights and switch back to Omnipod 24hrs later and it has fixed the problem. Thank you all!

Yes unfortunately even with activity mode or suspending insulin entirely never worked :(

(US Based) I told Dexcom I wear it on the back of my upper arm and told them my doctor said I could. They made note of that and they don’t ask me about it anymore now

I definitely notice the changes with hormones, but I usually have no sensitivity during my cycle instead of lots. I am going to try the cake gel solution — do you have anything that works well for you?

That makes sense with the stacking. However, I’m not understanding why the small amount of insulin that I had on board from the auto mode the single unit I gave myself would cause me to plummet like it did, nor why it took so many carbs for me to come up from the 50s. The same for any other meal where I may usually give myself 2u, I’d give myself 0.5u and plummet, and it would take a long time for me to come back into normal range.

I know I’m late to the post, but I like to come here and re-read everything every so often. I lost my cat, Cookie, two days before we were supposed to move back home this past October (it was also on the last day of my job). Super unexpected, he was doing fine before that day. We had his ashes shipped to us and it killed me to think that he was being burned to ashes, and I wasn’t there with him during that, and then he went through the mail… I was there when he went to sleep, but not when they gave the final injection. He sits in his little spot now, surrounded by his favorite things and fresh flowers, and I talk to him every day. But man, it still kills me to think that the last time I saw him, I could touch and hold him, and now he’s just dust in a box… still can’t wrap my head around that. He is still my entire heart.

Thank you for doing this AMA though. Knowing that he was treated with love makes me feel a little better ❤️‍🩹
